I find it odd Jonathan Haidt focuses so much on social media and phones while ignoring the built environment. Sure, put your phone down and play -- where? In the strip mall parking lot? Ride your bikes down the 6 lane stroad to get there?

Working on a lit review and came across this fantastic summarization of research from Friedman (2000): "... the study was originally focused on addressing such issues as whether bright children were introverted, sickly eggheads (it turned out that they were not)."
