Why is Trump instilling fear of the police? I know folks who won't open the door if a law enforcement officer knocks. They are singing the praises of their doorbell cameras. All of these people I talk about were born in the U.S. And, to be crude about it, "Casper" is an apt nickname for them & me.

Everyone in the chain of command who allowed this — from the platoon leaders to the 18th Airborne Corps commander — needs to be reprimanded if not relieved. We don't ask soldiers their political allegiance and we don't assign them tasks based on political allegiance.
