Today I pulled into a gas station but couldn’t get near the pump due to a large pickup ahead of me. The guy urged me to pull closer. Then he got into his truck and drove forward (the nozzle still in his truck) so I could access the pump behind him. I’m encountering the nicest people this week.

I’ve met some nice men on my commute this week thanks to Diet Pepsi. It takes an enormous amount of torque to release the plastic cap. I need help. I need a man. They’ve been amused. “There you go, hon,” said the guy this morning. I haven’t been called “Hon” in decades. I like it.

It turns out I CAN cope with microdoses of US political developments if they’re nestled in book/writing posts.

Deserves to be shared on Bluesky too. The funniest video of all time.
