Ordering delivery for lunch because I'm now on day 3 of first my landlord then a plumber trying to unfuck whatever's wrong with the plumbing, and I still cannot use the sink plus he's working in there. Anyway if you're in construction please be considerate in what you're building! Think ahead!

Also listen, Francis was progressive *compared to past popes*, within the extremely regressive Catholic Church. He was not progressive in any more general sense and I am dreading how he's going to be memorialized as some sort of leftist.

If you know, you know

I'm not saying they are the product of some sort of comic book-esque generic engineering but please consider: Liz Truss, unpopular right wing politician, met Queen Elizabeth, who promptly died. JD Vance, unpopular right wing politician, met the Pope, who promptly died. Hmmm.

I'm getting invested in my nonexistent clam character, her name is Clementine, she wants to be pretty but isn't sure how given her body, and she feels she needs to prove herself to everyone (because she is a clam in a very non-clam-centric world).

I have never played any sort of spellcaster (I'm a barbarian at heart also I get intimidated by too many rules), but imagine getting fireballed by a clam.

D&D character idea: a clam wizard who gets around by using mage hand on themselves and absolutely refuses to explain how exactly they became a wizard.

Once again I'm not good at economics, but I still feel like this is not the chart I want to see.

Hey I'm confused are we still enacting tariffs on the penguins?

I was in the military and am today in public health and I can't begin to express how giddy all the PH folks I've ever worked with would be over military-scale money. Like give someone running a sliding-scale dental clinic in rural Appalachia $1 mil and they'll think they're dreaming.

I don't think it's good when I log into my Schwab account and all the numbers on my investments are red?

I'm not an economics person, is this good? Are we great again?

youtu.be/186FmQ4QZeY?... I'm having a hard fucking time right now but goddamn it, I need to be around for the memes when he and others finally kick the bucket.

Thank you, Cory Booker.

I'm non-binary and warming up to the trans label! But like many people I prefer not to be perceived, that's scary.

Being a queer trans person who works in public health right now is really fun. It's great. Honest to god the last time I felt this horribly stressed and helpless was when I was in the Army, which was the most miserable 3 years of my life.

Having my flavor of ADHD is like having a random number generator for a brain. I've been putting off cleaning for...a while. Today I grudgingly was like "okay fine I'll clean the toilet"... ...and that activated Cleaning Mode and I spent an hour cleaning the bathroom and kitchen.

Oh wow I just turned a corner from "stunned incredulity" to "incandescent rage". Sharing information like exact launch times endangers lives of the servicemembers involved. I have friends and family who are active duty servicemembers. I'm *real* pissed, and you should be to.

Putting a reporter in a Signal chat where you’re planning airstrikes, that’s careless. Sharing information that puts our pilots' lives at risk — that’s reckless.

Just in case anyone was wondering, every bit of this was classified. Lot of perjury in those hearings yesterday.

"We're clean on opsec," he said, in the unsecured group chat which someone had randomly added a journalist to.

I know these things because: 1) there are people in my life who deal, responsibly, with sensitive and classified information all the time. 2) I, like literally everyone in the military, went through regular cybersecurity training 3) I'm not a fucking idiot.

The point genuinely isn't that they added Some Guy to their group chat. I mean that's bad, but the problem is that they had that group chat in the first place. You don't share that sort of information like that via any commercially available app.

Yep. This headline making the rounds and confusing way too many people today. Saying this is a "vulnerability in Signal" is like saying someone looking over your shoulder while you message is a "vulnerability in Signal"

The more I think about it the more I'm stuck on this: If your average soldier was caught sharing classified information via Signal group chat, they would be absolutely, catastrophically *turbofucked*. I'm talking about a court martial, maybe a stint in Leavenworth and dishonorable discharge.

JFC. It occurs to the me that this also put Goldberg himself at risk. As a former junior enlisted I cannot *imagine* how destroyed my entire life would be if I'd fucked up remotely like that.

Honestly the biggest problem is not that they accidentally added a random journalist, it's that they were having these conversations on Signal at all. Granted adding a journalist (and not noticing!) is an incredibly huge problem, but it's not the biggest problem.
