sweet!! got my multi-output device setup working!! so basically in macos you can create a multi-output device in Audio MIDI Setup and have audio routed to each device as a single channel (ie monitor on left speakers = left channel, etc). After making said device as default, use betterdisplay (Cont.)

yup.. i'm a total fan of #HeroicLauncher for #MacOS. finally understand how it all works and man its fun installing some of my older DOS/WinXP games. gonna fire up good old battlefield 1942 later and maybe even some chuck yager flight combat. :)

well... still got the geek skills! got #EAgames working in #heroic on #macos!! online working too!! see my guide over here: github.com/seamonkey420... main trick: use #whiskey wine in heroic to setup initial app, then install dotnet48 and d3dcomipler_47 in winetricks before launching game!!

ahh.. love it!! geeking on my mac, trying to get heroic and my pc games working since my m1 max can easily run them. still amazed how well nms runs!! tried my nba2k2021 and it looks and runs better than my ps5 version. but man, figuring out which launcher to use and which toolkit.. oof..

the bedpc in action. not bad. finally a real use case for my dell 24” touchscreen monitor ive had for six years. win10 touch integration better than win11. esp popup touch keyboard, in win11 its broken snd doesnt work as it does in win10. touch text field, kb pops up.

a real #geek has a bed pc setup 🤓 my tinypc and dell 24” touchscreen setup by bed (ie mainly a plex htpc machine). my main desk is setup with macbook pro with dual 120hz monitors and dock.

todays geeky mac task? migrating my ffmpeg context/one click conversion scripts to automator. figured out how to get selected files and run the homebrew of ffmpeg in scripts. testing opening said mka in mkvtoolnix after to multiplex back w/original file. :) then the rest should be easy to migrate!

temp setup for the macbook, getting a cheapo 120hz monitor monday and if i like it will get 2nd to match. loved my dell 24” touch screens but never used touch much but matte screen was excellent!! using one for my portable pc bench and other maybe in bedroom??

installing win11 on my vmware setup. fastest install of win11 on any hardware ever!! and this was in a vm with only 4 cpus, 8gb ram. forget i have 64gb of ram on this macbook pro! def gonna give vm 16gb

just my latest mixed #Windows and #Mac desk(s) setup. got my new to me 2021 mbp 14 m1 max and its a freaking beast!!! 64gb ram, 4tb ssd. should last a good five years or better. lenovo m90q at dual monitor desk but mbp can dock (have kvm switch for dual monitors setup)

after canceling my macbook pro 14 m4 pro order for a 24gb 1tb at $2400, decided to look at used m1 max and m2 max market and damn!! some cheap crazy builds. looking to get a 4tb and 64gb ram model later if price is right, got alerts all ready to go. and tons of free time 🤓

also. best way to manage local movies/tvs shows on an #ipadmini or #ipad is through VLC and File Sharing. Apple's TV app is so busy and crap for anything local, VLC best alternative for local. remote, Plex all the way. :) Also, you have to have Apple TV on ipad to sync videos via itunes app cont.
