It never occurred to me to use AI to keyword photos. Its the one thing I hate doing while editing. Now if there was some way to automatically have it done in LR.

I don't break out the 65x24 Fuji that often but when I do its 😙🤌 especially for concert photography.

Had to pause and take in this photo while I was editing it. Man Vancouver was so amazing.

Today is a good one. Behind the scenes on a film set, The Kills, Talibah and a nice boat pun.

Got back into photographing for a few local magazines. This assignment it was a pleasure to photograph Sara and her amazing horse Reggie.

Every day I am …

Always dreaming of Mexico City.

Some of my favorites which are no longer here in town. Got a gallery over here as well -

Why its so important to photograph neon. I've been trying my best here in Memphis but so sad to hear about this in NYC -

@memphofest is awesome because they have such a diverse lineup of acts. I had never heard of @coryjwong, but his set was super energetic and he was incredible to photograph. I can't wait to see who they bring out next year!

Low ceilings and a southerly wind combined to give me this great shot of a FedEx plane landing here at KMEM. Also shoutout to the arrow in the FedEx logo. I see it all the time and never gets old. Iconic design. #planespotting

Photographed my first soccer game last month and the next week the soccer team left for another city. Sorry for the jinx @901fc

Finally got to celebrate Thanksgiving Screamsgiving with the ones I love, the Tennessee Screamers. I first heard them way back at Wiseacre OG on Dolly Parton’s birthday covering Jolene and have been a fan ever since.

Tariq Trotter from The Roots is such a badass he even looks cool taking off his jacket. What a pro move to wrap the mic around your neck while taking off some clothing. Photographed @memphofest

I feel like there is a very high volume of guitars being thrown into the air every Gonerfest. Th’ Losin Streaks @gonerfest

Some more good 65x24 over on my Flickr site today. West Coast vibes always bring out the best in wide angle. https://www.flickr.com/photos/seandavis/

I always thought of Jelly Roll as kind of a novelty act until I photographed him at Riverbeat Music Festival this year. What a talented and nice guy. I enjoyed his music too! I always like how he points out fans in the audience. Looking forward to hearing more from him.

65x24 is really good for plane spotting. Case in point - Triple 7 over at DFW.

This guy is cool. Jackson is cool. Taken outside of The End of All Music in Jackson, MS.

This is so good. One of the reasons I take photos is to capture moments in time and this does just that. https://walzr.com/IMG_0001

One of my favorite aircraft the T-28 Trojan photographed last month at the North Little Rock Airshow.

Had back-to-back music festival and airshow jobs last month. Two of my favorite things to photograph. If I could just photograph these two things all year round, I would be a very happy photographer.

Here's just a few examples of the insane art deco in Tulsa.

Speaking of the best cities, here you have this hidden Mardi Gras museum upstairs from Arnaud's in New Orleans. This is a magical place that I always make time for during a late New Orleans night.

I was blown away by Tulsa (most art deco per capita in the US!) and especially this office complex that looked very futuristic during golden hour.

I upload 10 photos a day over on my Flickr site. It's rare that all 10 photos are certified 'bangers' but today's upload has me proud of every single one. https://www.flickr.com/photos/seandavis/

The Roots, bucket list band from the last Mempho Fest. Still can't believe I got to see them live and photograph them from the pit.

One of my favorite bridges is the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge in Cincinnati. Yes, this is the bridge that inspired the Brooklyn Bridge. I thought it was the other way around! There's so much architecture in smaller towns that serves as inspiration for larger cities.

Music is the thing I love to photograph the most of course but I am also a die hard #avgeek so got a chance to photograph an airshow over in North Little Rock last week.

I was late to the Martin Parr game so glad this is coming out soon. https://youtu.be/AKEFfxXxbvk?si=BNRSWhuUGgxCU3dL

Sure the bands at Gonerfest are cool but have you seen the crowd? Always enjoy turning the camera around and seeing all the awesome people rockin' out.

Ray's Diner, one of the filming locations for Mad Men. Shortly after I took this I heard it closed. What a loss, had a great meal and sat in the booth where Don and Megan got in a fight over sherbert.

Flickr Friday - Gonerfest, Mexico City, Memphis in Nashville and more. https://www.flickr.com/photos/seandavis/

The Bike Bus movement is the best thing going in safe-streets advocacy and, I might argue, climate advocacy these days. Creating joy is a wonderful organizing tool.

United A321 Retro Livery. This is one of my favorites. Always on the hunt for these whenever I travel. Thanks to @jettipnet.bsky.social for always letting me know.

I just can't resist taking a photo of a building with an airplane contrail in the background. Sometimes I will wait an extraordinary amount of time to get it just right.

BTS from a shoot up in Montana. First time ever in the state, it's insane. Photos don't do it justice.

Back in New Orleans last year when Roe was overturned. Our hotel was right down from the courthouse and people were immediately headed over to protest. What a sad day that was.

The restoration hangar over at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center outside of Washington DC. If you ask me its much better than the Air & Space in DC proper. Pro-Tip its right next to Dulles so maybe leave for the airport a little early and go here and kill a few hours.
