It's been a long time since a game brought me as much pure joy as Astro Bot does. Starting it to complete the few final speed challenges, I was absolutely delighted to see that they had put out a Winter Wonderland level! So much fun. Cooling fan, memory, GPU, SSD indeed.

Finished up the year by finally finishing Baldur's Gate 3. What a truly phenomenal game! I'm really glad I already had a strong D&D background going in, I think that let me appreciate it more. Tiefling Warlock Astoundo the Astonishing saved the day, then went to live with his girlfriend in hell.

I'm watching the 1978 Ralph Bakshi Lord of the Rings and all of this rotoscoping is wild. And while they obviously share the same source material and are going to be similar, I swear there are some shots that got directly lifted by the Peter Jackson ones. Oh, and Gimli is ridiculously too tall.

Got the platinum in Veilguard! Excellent game! I loved the streamlined approach to combat. Fantastic story. Amazing voice actors. I had a high stagger, two-handed build and I was just wrecking fools, takedowns all day. Didn't like randomized gear. Assan and Manfred are my guys. #Veilguard
