I wouldn’t do less of that to do more coding. I’d be willing to bet it makes you a better coder when you switch between the two spaces.

Next, I want to implement a Live display in a separate screen region that shows how many pipelines succeeded, failed, or are pending. Not entirely sure why TUIs are more satisfying than GUIs to build, but here we are. 🤷‍♂️

I like asking candidates about a project they loved working on. It doesn't have to be for pay - it can be their model train layout or cross-stitching. I'm listening for their ability to explain, problem-solve, and demonstrate learning. And they seem instantly more comfortable and confident.
