For the first time in months, it’s 60 degrees in Seattle! 👏

The Seattle Waterfront and Olympic Mountains are showing off today! #wawx

Fantastic day in Seattle today!

sideways rain in seattle! little bit of thunder too ✨ thanks for the warning, @seattleweather.bsky.social !

Heavy rain and wind picking up here on the Seattle waterfront #wawx

Dark and stormy night ahead! Prepare for heavy rain and gusty winds—near 50 mph in the Seattle area. At this time of year, that’s usually not enough to cause widespread power outages as trees are bare/weaker branches have already fallen. We’ll see.

A wee bit windy today

Some crazy stats as we await the arrival of ❄️snow tonight: 🔹February is running TEN degrees below normal 🔹32 of the last 33 days have been colder than normal. 🔹Seattle has recorded 26 freezes since New Year’s

❄️MORE SNOW AHEAD❄️ Fresh off back-to-back record low temps in Seattle (20° today, 23° yesterday), snowy weather will add to this week’s wintry feel. Plan on light snow from Seattle south tomorrow afternoon, moving north during the evening. Accumulations of 1-2” possible. 😀😀

Surprise Snow This Morning!! ❄️💙

Just about two inches of snow in West Seattle! #wawx @seattleweather.bsky.social

No signs of the cold weather letting up anytime soon. 🥶 Plan on high temps only in the 30s for the next week! Normal early February high is 50 degrees.

Has been snowing for about 2 hours here SE of Duvall (500’ in elevation & 32°F) #wawx

Currently, in the SE corner of Bellevue ❄️ @seattleweather.bsky.social

Winter wonderland here in the Cascade foothills! At least an inch, if not more, accumulated so far. #wawx

Enjoy 20 seconds of snow falling this morning in Tacoma. It was delightful!

Good chance of more sticking snow for Seattle through Monday! Showers will be hit-and-miss, but most should pick up an inch. And maybe more. 🤞🤞

Sorry, boss, won't be able to make it to work on Monday because of the storm.

Just like in 2019, it’s the end of January and Seattle hasn’t seen a single flake of snow all winter. Just like in 2019, that’s about to change with the arrival of February. Wintry fun is in store for the next several days. Buckle up—it’s gonna be an interesting ride! ❄️🤞❄️

The sun’s been nice, Seattle, but it’s high time to make for snow. 🤞❄️🤞

❄️Is Seattle going to see sticking snow next week? ❄️ At this point, I’d put the odds at about the same as the Eagles winning the Super Bowl. Slightly less than even.

For the first time in 16 days, Seattle had a high temperature yesterday that wasn’t between 41-44 degrees. Give it up for Jan. 27’s 47-degree max 👏

Rain? Snow? Rain/snow mix? All of the options are on the table from Saturday onward. At this point, given Seattle’s uncanny ability to thwart snow if at all possible, I’d lean toward a chilly rain for most (boo! Boo!) Don’t get out those snow boots quite yet. ☹️

Would be surprised if Seattle didn’t at least see snow in the air from the upcoming pattern (next Saturday onward).
