I write things and read things. I also mom things, cook things, and game things. I'm a chess mom so you might see me get excited about that. In my past lives I was a neuroscience researcher and I have worked in many hospitals in CA and AZ. No DMs

Posted my parody of The Sound of Silence on Short Story Lovers this morning. My first time using the site so I thought I'd have a little fun. www.shortstorylovers.com/story/my-mor...

Strange how bluesky puts this message in the middle of the posts I'm reading when I'm still following most of the people posting below it

“Was it my fault?” asked the short skirt. “No, it happened to me too,” replied the Burkah. The diaper in the corner couldn’t even speak. - Darshan Mondkar

Mexican gray wolves are essential. So is coffee 😉

Checking in with friends today. Feeling scared for those who are from other countries and my brown skinned friends who are from here but are also at risk.

We're having lunch at a Golden Corral next to a megachurch. Wondering how busy it's about to get here.

The breakfast place with the amazing cinnamon rolls closed down. Now I must search for another.

My 11yo niece gets survivor benefits because her father died of cancer at the age of 42 when she was 8 years old. He was the main source of income and her mother had to make major changes to her career to pick up the slack all while mourning him. She's done an amazing job.

Came home from a week at my parents' house with my son and was basically mauled by my two pups. Absolutely the best thing to come home to. I also love my husband.

There! Now you can feel better! Just keep this on a loop and in about 30 minutes the rage will subside! ENJOY!

Book 9 in 2025. The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams. Sequel to Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I liked it until the end, which takes the book for me. Oh well.

Oh how I wish the Republicans cared about being an equal branch of government instead of relinquishing power to the executive branch

Conversation with my then 5yo in 2018: Him: Why is everything I do bad for me? Me: You do things that are good for you, like taking your vitamins and eating good food and... Him (immediately gives me a serious look): Mommy, I choked on my food.

Yay Melanie!

Book 8 of 2025. Abbadon's Gate by James S. A. Corey. These books are so well written. I can't say bad things about this series. #BookSky #scifi

Book 7 of 2025. Roadwork by Richard Bachman aka Stephen King. King is the king of detail and painting a story in my mind. This one is cold and depressing. Not my favorite King novel but decent read. #BookSky
