I write things and read things. I also mom things, cook things, and game things. I'm a chess mom so you might see me get excited about that. In my past lives I was a neuroscience researcher and I have worked in many hospitals in CA and AZ. No DMs

Someone must have figured this out around 2016 or so.

Ooh. I made it on a block list. Funny.

Love the author line here from Roadwork by Stephen King. @stephenking.bsky.social #booksky

Love random emails. I was just offered to apply for a lawn care company franchise because of my experience in neuroscience. 🤔

F**K trump!!!!!!!!!!

Every chance I get I use "cool beans" in front of teenagers to see how they respond. Current data say they don't even notice. More to come.

Book 6 in 2025 was The Last Colony by John Scalzi. Third book in Old Man's War series. I like me a good Scalzi book, and this was that. I enjoyed every moment of the book, but I want to know more about the werewolves. Yes, werewolves. What happened to them? #booksky #scifi

Book 5 in 2025 was Starship Troopers. Liked it much more than expected and also more than my husband did. I think it helped knowing it was not like the movie. Different expectations. Has the same issues with ST and any older sci-fi that I overlook for the sake of the story. #BookSky #scifi

Birthday book club at my son's school today. One mom didn't understand that a non-fiction book could also be told like a story.

Thank goodness for the American Medical Association. Here is their YouTube page. Please share far and wide. Right now bird flu is spreading throughout our country and most people have no clue. Please stay updated and bookmark this page for your health and well-being. www.youtube.com/@americanmed...

Heinlein has some fairly interesting philosophical comments in Starship Troopers as long as you ignore the bad takes on women and other groups that seem to be pervasive throughout older scifi #booksky #scifi

My niece read my book (I didn't know) and texted me to say she liked it. She's close to the youngest end of my audience, so that's definitely a win! Now, I need to finish edits and get an agent or publisher.

Can't wait for this adaptation. I read the book last year, loved it. I couldn't stop thinking about it when they increased my speed at cardiac rehab. Luckily, they didn't shoot the failures. @stephenking.bsky.social Stephen King can't believe The Long Walk movie exists search.app/6oEneDMpsbWY...

ok, so basically I'm trying to make this post go viral.

Why is the GOP shielding Elon Musk from Oversight!?  Maybe…because while we’re sitting here he’s dismantling agencies, threatening national security, stealing our data, and breaking the law.  Dems are not clutching our pearls.  Dems are fighting back.  And we won't stop!

Sorry, Mexico and Canada, we elected a dimwitted shitheel
