What’s happening in the US is starting to feel more like a hacking than an election, with Trump basically cast as the idiot who clicked on the phishing email that let the ransomware guys in. Struck by how crucial tech not politics reporters are to us understanding it

I will share some thoughts about transforming my PhD into a graphic novel. Come by, if you are in Copenhagen or share if you know someone who might be interested. #envhist #envhum

“At five o’clock, oddly enough, tennis balls I had ordered online were delivered. It seemed to me, in these areas filled with toxic air, that people should be encouraged to stay home. I could have waited for the tennis balls.” www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v4...

The Greenhouse environmental humanities book talk series now has 165 recorded episodes! newnatures.org/greenhouse/ Yes, you read that right: one hundred sixty-five hours of amazing scholarship in #envhum #envhist #ecocrit & more. Feel free to use our videos in courses as well as watching yourself.

Another part of my dissertation has hit the streets! “In Praise of Ambivalence” explores environmentalist’s emotions in their struggle for a less polluted environment. Ambivalence signifies a specific engagement in environmental conflicts. #envhum #envhis www.taylorfrancis.com/chapters/edi...

Check it out: New episode just dropped!!!!

Check out this very important and enriching initiative.

This is going on my reading list!

Hello #sts, #envhum, #envhist folks! I am on the job market! In addition to job opportunities, I am also interested in learning more about how folks are thinking about their research statements and teaching statements. If you are willing, please share some examples for me to learn from!

We have launched our new Energy Lives! project! A great team led by @melinabuns.bsky.social will explore how people have lived with energy transitions in the Nordic countries over the past 150 years. #envhist #envhum #energyhistory

Check it out! I did a review of @danielmacfarlane.bsky.social recent book that explore an area through a large body of water (Lake Ontario). My reading primarily focused on pollution, but if you are interested in US/Canadian history, blue humanities/water history, I bet you will find it interesting.

Check out the latest episode of @andersriel.bsky.social and my podcast “Challenging Nordic Innocence” where we discuss Georgia DeLeeuw and her work on green steel mining, the welfare state and environmental (in)justice in Sweden through Sarah Ahmed #envhum #envhist podcasts.apple.com/dk/podcast/m...

Im sharing to remember!!!

I still got some invitations if y’all be interested

Check out this amazing event with one of the most intriguing scholars @apasek.bsky.social. I became fascinated by Anne’s work through my interest in low carbon methods and the intersection between data and environmental justice. If y’all don’t know Pasek’s work yet, I suggest you go check it out!

Hi everyone. I just want to share that last week I got a funding application rejected. It is important to share our successes as well as our rejections.

It’s wild how international media and scholars can get so wrong in understanding Danish green politics. Following the domestic debate, the majority of commentators and NGOs are deeply skeptical by the green tripartite. Basically it’s another case of greenwashing. Apparently it works.

Check it out! I can’t possibly think of someone who is more generous, curios, inspiring, passionate, and intelligent as @smueller.bsky.social I would easily do a second PhD in her company if only time allowed me.

Check it out! I can’t think of anyone more supportive and generous scholar than Simone. So if I could do a second PhD I would definitely do one with her!

Check it out: community support is (still) important. Help this amazing initiative.

Copenhagen! Check it out: Monday I am hosting a conversation about pollution and the welfare state with Liv Duvå - a cool author who have written about toxicity in buildings, a legal scholar and me. It’s free and lesser academic, so there is really no excuse. cape.ku.dk/kalender/202...

Check it out!

We still have spots available to attend our week-long PhD course “Play and the Environmental Humanities”, 2-6 December 2024. The registration deadline has passed but contact me directly and we’ll add you! www.uis.no/en/research/... #envhum #envhist
