Ever heard of a 'hatchet bedroom'? That's a bedroom set up so the bed is right beside the doorway. So when somebody rushes in with a hatchet to go whackety-whack, your bed, with you in it is right there. That's why people put their bed as far away from the doorway as possible. Whackety-whack!

The front yard tree is chock-a-block with crows, aptly described by one writer as "flying shards of hell". Still, I love them!
