Friday fantasy: if Trump is out early (25th, impeachment, temper tantrum abdication, etc) we get Vance. Is it possible for JD to morph back into a pre-MAGA version of himself to become plausible leader? I'm thinking that the damage is irreversible.

My fear right now isn’t that Trump is in control of this mess; it’s that he isn’t. I’m sure he blessed the 2025 plan at the outset, but I’m not sure he has the ability to reign in his flying monkeys anymore. Musk & Miller et al are running the show.
