Another good ride on Luke, altho he started a little antsy during grooming; I kept telling him, if he doesn't like the shedding blade, he should stop shedding! XD I took his prodigal blanky hood home. Still haven't remembered to take his leather halter out to my locker...

Currently binge-reading two new (to me) series: the Lady Trent fantasy novels by Marie Brennan, and the Goblin Emperor universe books by Katherine Addison. Recommended by a panel at Balticon, these books are great! Fun reads.

Since Tom's Valentine's Day present has not arrived YET (I didn't notice the etsy shop was in Poland!!) I made him a lil holiday tree ornament from paper, ink, and ribbon, supplies I have in abundance. Wondering if this could be done with stamps as well as sketches? Currently layering papers w glue.

Today's barn trip consisted only of putting new sheet and blanky on Luke, no riding, I didn't know the chiropractor was working on him today! He is stiff like the rest of them; ice followed by deep mud is the WORST footing. Now to get old blankies cleaned and fixed! #laurelleather?

Successful adulting today consisted of taking the Prius in for its 6 month (15K miles?? hah!!) service - No charge, thanks ToyotaCare. Spent about an HOUR yesterday clearing branches from the yard. Now waiting for nonexistent snow...

Made a trip down to Brandywine, to start picking the bones of the local JoAnn's. Got some art supplies, including paper optimized for colored pencils, and then picked up my dispensary order. Cuz it's gonna be a loooong 4 years. Off to draw a cartoon cat or three....

Ermahgerd, we went out to the barn in this deluge, brought in a soaking muddy horse, failed to get him dry, rode anyway in the indoor, and he did NOT dry himself off despite all the trotting! He just picked up ring dirt on his feet until the were muddy again... YIKES. THE WIND BLASTS were fearsome.

Another good ride on Luke yesterday, altho after lessons cuz I waited til it stopped raining to drive out there XD Found puddles so deep in the pasture that my galoshes, they did NOTHING. Drying out riding boots with lil silicon gel packets. Oh, and Tom got me POT PJs for a VDay present! XD #mmj

Busy day at home today! First two package deliveries, then the John Deere fixit guys returned our (semi-) fixed snowblower, and now the propane guys are here filling up our tank. Meanwhile, I still don't have a handyperson who can swap out our cabinet hinges and replace toekick/cove wall base. Sigh.

Luke was a good boy for his ride today, but I FORGOT to bring out the sheet to try on! Left TWO sheets on my car when I got back XD Still bringing poop buckets home to compost. Will take a year to fill the new raised bed I built. Wish weather would quit so I could PLANT EARLY this year...
