Follow up: conversion packet is reread, edited, and ready for the editor. The adventure is about 70% reread and edited, but the hard part is yet to come. :)

I think more than I write for my campaigns, specifically because of that!

Also, as it's in your profile: Baltimore as well!

My published book is full color on DTRPG, so I absolutely feel you on this. I never checked to see how much a bw book of my same size costs.

Clarification, followed by answers: is this mixed art types in one book, or I choose one type or the other.
Mixed: majority color, with bw to fill.
Single: I think this depends on the age of the player, lol. I love more bw art in a book as it evokes the old days art styles and format.

Sometimes, that is the absolute coolest part of a ttrpg. Other times, whoo boy.

Looks like you got what you were looking for! I'm so happy.

I actively create things for other people to tear apart in the most absurd, nonsensical, and unpredictable ways. (I am a homebrew-only DM)

Travel, exploration, survival and discovery are fun, and should have cool rules around them. They shouldn't be bulky and unwieldy, but should have consequence and meaning.

I found all those few people, lol, they are my group. Y'all can thank me later! :)

Its absolutely not snappy, but the one time I ran it some 20 years ago, the dueling system in AD&D's skills and powers was a lot of fun... once. I absolutely feel that pain.

Will report back on how little I manage to achieve!

Absolutely wild! Congrats this is absolutely over the top and awesome.

I straight up ask my players for that hit, often starting with "x was cool, I really enjoyed that" and often they riff off it for 10-20 minutes about what they thought was cool. Definitely need that positive feedback.

Lord, I gotta finish this update to the new edition and then edit my adventure. Writing is the fun part! Editing makes everything hurt!

I absolutely love this silhouette style. Just super fun!

Boss, same here. It's too fast, not permanent enough, hard to parse and difficult to digest. Hopin' I can find other homes.

If you click on the starter pack tabs on Rex's profile, he has a bunch of cool groups. You can either choose which ones to follow individually, or hit the follow all button to snag em all!

More than an itch! It's like a fever, and the only prescription is more game nights.

Can we switch? After DMing every week, at least, for nearly a decade, I've been a player exclusively for about 8 months.
do not want!

Now I'm considering the challenge of: what would an actual 13th century equipment list look like :)

My favorite (currently) is that the Alchemy Jug has Mayo, a product not even conceptualized until 1756.

I wholly agree with your take on giants. They are criminally underused and should be the focus of more adventures.

I think it might have to do with magic being unknowable, right? Like... if there a system to it, its mostly just Weird Science. But if even the GM and worldbuilder has no idea how it works, then its truly magic!
comment in response to

Magic. I can get into messy and absolutely unnecessary detail around nobility and commonfolk, about economics, climate, weather, traditions, history... all of it. But then you ask me the smallest portion about magic and I'm like.. it just does its thing

I am not - I'm the basest white guy around - but I want to have more voices in my circle, so I'm gonna follow what happens here :)

Its so coooool. I have been planning it for appx. 11 years at this point, but with my own painted minis. For a long time there weren't enough of them, but with the explosion of cool miniatures I'm almost there. Having the whole Steading room 11 painted is gonna be so cool.

Now, I'm absolutely biased as a person with 70+ giant miniatures and a love for the original Against the Giants scenarios that is unbridled, but:
They did all giants (including ogres) dirty.

I have a bizarre goblin sketch we did years ago, lemme see if I can find it.

Both Dread and Mjork Borg are both a ton of fun and I played them both recently. I don't know that Dread has they staying power for a year, say, but the one scenario we did was absolutely great.
