The kid I was watching last night was worried about a "rain of hotdogs". He did not think the family dog would protect him bc "she only eats dogfood" (I had to remake chicken nuggs the week before after she climbed a kid seat to counter surf).

See, Republicans get gung-ho about 'gov't red tape' when it comes to using direct democracy to disagree w/ them, accessing Medicaid, registering to vote, obtaining legal residency/citizenship, etc. It's all just Wilhoit: red tape should protect but not bind them, while binding/not protecting others.

At a kids' (5-18) dance recital this weekend and OMFG. As they got older, the dance sequences got more complicated, but NEVER was everyone moving to the beat. Dance is entraining the rhythm of your movements to the music rhythm, and they aren't teaching that!🧵
