I won’t say the next able-bodied person that tells me how to think/feel/write about disability will get slapped. But I’m not going to say they won’t, either.

I'm Leigh! I mostly write character-driven, psychological #horror. Stuff that makes your heart ache. (The best compliment I ever received was when a reader said my story made her cry.) I've been writing for years, but got into horror during my MFA program at UW. #HorrorWritersChat

I'm going to say Cormac McCarthy. I don't know that he's really traditionally thought of as a #horror author, but The Road and Blood Meridian prove otherwise. My god, McCarthy was brilliant in the fullest sense of the word. #HorrorWritersChat

Who’s headed to @horrorwritersassoc.bsky.social‘s StokerCon this year? Missed the last one, but this time it’s just down the road from where I live, so I don’t have much excuse. Happy to buy you a drink if we meet up! @wnwagner.bsky.social, @lesleyconner.bsky.social? #horror

THIS.

Exactly, @scribblerhackit.bsky.social “Silence is compli—“ No it’s not. Shut the fuck up. Sometimes inaction may be, but not silence.

Anyone else feel this way? I do not like the unreliable narrator mechanic at all. It feels cheap, like I’m being cheated. It’s lame in the same way that “and then he woke up and it was all just a dream” endings do. If I know going into a story that the author uses this, I just won’t read it.

Google Calendar no longer includes start of Black History Month, Pride Month www.cnbc.com/2025/02/10/g... Boy it sure didn’t take Google long at all to totally roll over for the fascists. They’ve always been a shit company, but it is depressing to see how flimsy their rainbow capitalism was/is.

One of my own shots! Taken with a EOS R7.
