On our first trip to japan, we tried to eat at a restaurant in tokyo that served fugu and it was the only time I've ever been flat out turned away from a restaurant. On our second trip, we ate it deep-fried at road side station Marine Dream in Niigata. Deep-fried puffer fish is the way to go

I overuse 💯

NEW: A federal judge raised alarm Friday that the Trump administration appeared to have deported a 2-year-old U.S. citizen to Honduras with "no meaningful process" — even as her father was fighting to keep her in the country. Details w/ @joshgerstein.bsky.social www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

absolute and total control over time and space but only as it relates to egg based dishes. I can unmake a scrambled egg and omelet it and then revert it to a sunnyside

today feels like album time

We are starting solids. How old does my baby have to be before she can eat an ortolan?

In addition to being a certified freak, Boichi is a huge fan of science fiction and always wanted to draw it. In the panel on the left, he's clearly calling out Arthur C Clarke & 6000 is HAL 9000's number flipped. Can't recommend his one shot, HOTEL, enough. links to images in the alt like usual!

four cards to get to know me? i like my games a little chaotic

incredibly happy that we get new Yellow Tanabe in the form of Kai-hen Wizards

there are too many to count but the number one food haunting my memory is the bowl of udon I ate at the Kochi city Sunday market in 2019. Prepared by a tiny old woman & topped with the leftover tempura bits from the neighboring sweet potato booth, I will never be able to recreate it or come close

Hey boss. Yeah, sorry, I can’t come in to work today. Why? Well, my baby is smart. Like, really smart. No, smarter. Ok, thanks. I’ll see you tomorrow.

Girldinner? Nah this is dadlunch

they put viper venom in my wife's blood to test if she has lupus. she fails every time

Of WSJ's current headliners, I think Kagurabachi has the weakest story and hook. And while I think the author knows where he wants to go I think it suffers from not being sure how to get there, which you can see in the approach to the abilities of the supernatural swords. But the action is great!

Sacrificed my office and our living room at the shrine of our baby daughter but we received our bedroom back and might sleep a full night so I’d say worth it.

When my wife and I first started dating she snuck me into the 2014 E3 and we played the demo for Sunset Overdrive and received promotional cans of the energy drink tied to the game: OverCharge - DeliriumXT. Anyway I just found a can. Does anyone in LA want a drink?

encouraging my friend who just got a promotion to flex a little by renting out the desert house with a pool in the middle of its ground floor and a constantly out of tune piano sitting on a dais in the middle

Why would you give me, a new dad with a baby prone to spitting up and absolutely no indication that I am a Peanuts fan, a $250 sweatshirt with snoopy on the front

can't knock sci-fi & fantasy writers who name countries things like Liberty and Glory as ironic towers to fall when we disappear our innocents to El Salvador, a place that literally translates to "The Savior". We are two steps away from a bioshock game.

finally accumulated enough back pain to qualify as a dad

everyone in the house is sick. we are getting tacos.

they called us yanks cause we're a whole country of people you make the jerk-off motion behind

the baby can crawl and we are fucked

Really like Ichi The Witch and hope it continues to do well because its got that mangaplus.shueisha.co.jp/viewer/1024146

The baby is FINE please stop calling CPS just because you hear her scream she lost a lot of money on the stock market today

Calling in sick because I have a terrible case of cranky baby

It’s so weird the Slumberkins are named Frolic, Woe, Dread, Malice, and Sloth

when i took my job the CRO described it as "recession proof." I didn't really want to put that to the test

i love a good pastry but sometimes a beautiful egg wash hides a bland scone.
