there is simply no amount of child death that will move RFK to change his mind because he is a predatory narcissist who cares less about health than the gratification of his own ego

Trump is also saying that the once the US has rounded up individuals, with minimal or zero due process, on whatever pretext they choose, they can send them out of the US to face torture, death, life imprisonment, slave labor or other fates that are unconstitutional or illegal in the US.

From 1999-2013, RFK sold his own brand of bottled water (in plastic bottles, and with a horrible carbon footprint) that contained TWO TIMES the upper limit of fluoride recommended for dental health, which is more than the safely allowable amount per US Public Health Service, and IS potentially toxic

www.azcentral.com/story/opinio... When even Boas thinks Trump is full of shit.

What baffles me is that people can see claims like “China is the second-largest holder of US debt… China holds $761 billion” and not have a sense that doesn’t sound right with a national debt measured in the tens of trillions of dollars.

The base commander will likely be fired for it, but it highlights the tension between our military's appreciation of our reliance on allies and the Trump administration's squandering on the goodwill our military generates. www.military.com/daily-news/2...

Treasury Secretary says that he and the President have been lying to the voters, markets, and trading partners since Sunday. Credibility is a scarce and valuable asset, and I worry that a Treasury without credibility will be much less effective when a true crisis hits. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

So my client is a paraplegic. One day, a Fulton County police department asked him to come down and answer a few questions. A woman alleged that he KICKED her door down and assaulted her. And they were calling him down to arrest him, not talk to him.

brb, just telling my corporate board that given the extraordinary certainty in this new business environment, we ought to invest billions.

Lot of reporting 12 hours ago that Trump was dug in, unmovable, rock solid, deeply committed to the new tariffs. Just a reminder that nothing is ever certain until it happens. And even then it's not totally certain.

The bond market shows capital flight from the United States, with people selling off US debt. It’s the opposite of what usually happens during economic turmoil, when people buy US debt because they think it’s the safest asset in the world. The US-led global economic system is dead. By suicide.

Okay, I got some heat for you - Steve Pavlick worked on the Trump / Treasury trade team in 2017 and 2018 and has a policy perspective on everything going on right now. Huge thanks to our friends from @renmacllc.bsky.social for making this happen, just dropped: www.youtube.com/watch?v=21ec...

Every damned word of this 4-graf brief, except “By WSJ Staff,” should scare the bejeesus out of you this morning. www.wsj.com/livecoverage...

What’s wild is that none of these guys would say “happy to contribute to the greater good” if this was about raising their taxes 0.01% to pay for a universal free school lunch program, they just say it about the thing that doesn’t help anyone and is being done for no reason

wow the three month orgy of breaking long-standing agreements, abrogating contracts and shredding the constitution has damaged the full faith and credit of the united states that the entire global financial system rests on? might've been a bigger deal that Tim Walz' national guard retirement idk

👀

Again, Trump doesn't believe in mutually beneficial beneficial transactions. He doesn't believe in free markets economics.

“A trillion comments have been wasted accusing the wrong people of Trump derangement syndrome. The real TDS afflicts those who keep seeing a rational actor, or an economic chess game, where none exists.” Me on Trump’s wrecking ball. www.ft.com/content/9f51...

Not allowing seniors and disabled people to access their necessary and earned social security benefits from home—which i’m told was already difficult!—is just straight up cruel. I would go so far as to say it’s eugenicist.

Oren Cass is not an economist, and he's shown zero competence on the subject of tariffs. It is irresponsible of NYT editors to give him space to defend tariffs, which economists universally agree are terrible policy. He's a contrary voice because he's stupid.

from today's post — MAGA dipshits are melting down after finding out the hard way that Mad King Donny lied to them about how tariffs work. thanks for reading! link to the whole thing is here: bit.ly/4iQwM2O (longer except in the alt text)

SNL Cold Open youtu.be/VEle3pZRqmI?...

It is incredibly hard to stand out and really separate yourself from the pack when it comes to stupidity with these people, Tommy is truly a legend.

NEW: As the Fourth Circuit today considers whether to block her order, Judge Paula Xinis releases a strong opinion defending it, calling Kilmar Abrego Garcia's detention "wholly lawless" and her order "the narrowest, daresay only, relief warranted." storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
