Just an FYI, if someone tells you they're disabled and they don't look like they are... the chances of them lying about it are way smaller than the chances of you just not understanding how hidden disabilities work. Hope that helps.

5 facts about ADHD you may not know... 1. ADHD is a recognized disability in the US. 2. It's not automatically considered a disability, but it is protected by the ADA when it IS disabling. 3. Not everyone with ADHD feels disabled by it.

I don't know who needs to see this but ppl with ADHD aren't messy because they're disorganized. Leaving things out is an intentional organization method because with executive dysfunction, out of sight, out of mind. The "mess" is insurance that they'll remember important things.

I find it sad and frustrating that negative engagement on social media is a vicious cycle of good people having bad experiences with ill intentioned people, developing trauma from it, and then assuming everyone, even other good people, is ill intentioned as a form of self protection.
