Today we are sharing a proposal for an AP women’s history course. We know that “a comprehensive understanding of women’s history can act as an empowering agent that will allow the youth of America to enter positions of power knowing their worth and potential impact.” nursingclio.org/2025/02/19/e...

So I'm working on a campaign to get College Board approval for a Women's AP US History class (www.wapush.org/about) and we need letters of support from relevant department heads from 100 unis. I've had multiple academics decline because they don't like AP classes🧵

Hi everyone, I attended #NCSS2024 and my favorite event was the keynote talk from @hcrichardson.bsky.social. It was so refreshing to hear such a beloved historian show gratitude to educators for teaching history and civic engagement at the K12 levels. #sschat

Still thinking about the amazing talk at #NCSS2024 last night by @hcrichardson.bsky.social. Love how she teaches how “somebody always does things, they don’t just happen” and “talking about the past is a bedrock”—such good lines to use in APUSH 🗺️

Incredible talk at @ncssnetwork.bsky.social last night by @hcrichardson.bsky.social. So moved by the gratitude she showed history teachers and her call to us about how democracy depends on education. #NCSS2024

So excited we have a large number of attendees coming to our talk at #NCSS204 about the #APWomensHistory proposal! The WAPUSH team is thrilled to connect with so many incredible educators this week

Honored to have met the incredible Dolores Huerta at a fantastic event for the new film Miss Representation: The Revolution. Her work for social justice is included in our WAPUSH proposal and we are so grateful she expressed support for #APWomensHistory

Thrilled to have won an archive of Ms. Magazines at a fundraiser for the Miss Representation project. I am so looking forward to going through them to find historic articles to add to the #APWomensHistory proposal
