2.5 Weeks ago I started a new project for my portfolio and to just experiment with ideas. It's about a little nightmare Coffee Shop where you serve drinks and keep disturbing anomalies out of your cozy nightmare shop! :3 The ambition is to release a demo on steam in just a month! xD #indiegamedev

I finally found the time to work on my project again. Did anybody here hook up @steampowered.com localization for shop, achievements etc and @crowdin.bsky.social? Valve seems to use it as well. I'm wondering if there is already a solution to hook them up. My ingame stuff is already there so all in one place would be good. Some guide would help.

I did implement a very basic Soundsystem today and did some visual fixes as well as a bit more feedback for the agents when they are chopping trees as well. 🌿🌿 It slowly begins to feel like a game and not just a test environment haha #indiegamedev #cozygames #gamedevelopment

A* algorithm for my pathsystem. 🫠 It was way harder to implement then I thought. Especially since most resources I found are grid based rather then graph based. Found some good ones tho and adapted on it. Now the AI fun begins but first I connect this with the attractions :3 #indiedev #indiegame

I finally managed to define an operation area for attractions. >_> The goal is to have an expandable area to combine attractions of the same type to play around with more tight spaces when needed. 🎠🎠🎠 #IndieGameDev #indiegame

So after lot's of trial and error I finally managed to make a okayish looking terrain for my project. Even chunk loading does work quit well. >_> It's mostly static and doesn't need to be updated runtime for this project yet which comes handy ^^ #MarchingCubes #indiedev

I was testing out the first game loop iterations for managing NPCs for my game. Later I intent them to overtake many annoying tasks as you proceed in the game. That way, the players can focus on what is the most fun to them such as building a park. #indiedev #gamedevelopment #simulation #cozygames

I have worked on my lighting shader. It now works with forward+ rendering inside #unity It even has some nice looking artifacts around the circles that l like #cozy #gamedev
