1/7 Lovely story from Anna below, whom we helped in securing her mum's pre-settled status to be with her in the UK. Anna, delighted with her mum in the photos below, literally jumping with joy, was so happy that decided to join Settled as a volunteer! We can't wait to welcome Anna to the team! πŸ‘πŸ₯³πŸ™

Speaking of Italian fabulousness, reminder about the free webinar on the ETA, traveling to the UK with pre-settled or settled status, the transition from pre-settled to settled status, the automatic conversion & the new family reunification rules! All of this on 4 March... Wow! tinyurl.com/mrmktndt

First screenings in cities across the UK of the fabulous #Italian docuseries "Gocce d'Italia", made by Complitaly TV & thanks to the joint effort of the 3 UK #committees, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: www.complitaly.uk/notizie/al-v... Book now! www.facebook.com/ComitesManch...

On this day we recognise with sadness the 3rd Anniv of the war in Ukraine & stand in solidarity with Ukrainians at home & abroad. Two of our inspiring colleagues at Settled supporting thousands of Ukrainians across the UK share what this day means to them & how you can help us! tinyurl.com/56jyfu5w

For our German-speaking friends, very interesting podcast broadcast in German radio station WDR 5, on challenges that #EU citizens face in the UK 5 years after Brexit, featuring a wide range of voices from Settled staff & volunteers πŸ‘‡ www1.wdr.de/mediathek/au... open.spotify.com/episode/6osu...

1/3 What is the ETA? Do you have questions about traveling to the UK with pre-settled or settled status, the transition from pre-settled to settled status, or the automatic conversion? Are the new family reunification rules unclear? Then this free webinar in Italian is for you! tinyurl.com/mrmktndt

Over 100 charities, amongst them Settled, and faith leaders unite against refugee citizenship ban, coming together in an urgent call against the Government’s decision to effectively ban tens of thousands of refugees from ever becoming British citizens: www.refugeecouncil.org.uk/latest/news/...

β€œWhen refugees become citizens, they feel a greater sense of belonging as full members of their communities with a stable future for themselves, their children and generations to come.” One of many reasons why Settled & 147 other organisations signed this letter: www.theguardian.com/world/2025/f...

After 7 failed #EUSS applications, a Roma client in Scotland was finally granted Settled Status a few weeks after a late submission! Amazing teamwork by Andrew (photo), our Immigration Advice Manager & Annarita @turningpointsco. The client was so happy that he couldn't believe the outcome achieved!

Woohooo! 2 Ukrainian children have been granted visas after the 31 Jan policy change & their parents are thrilled! Today the parents wrote to us: β€œGood morning. This is the best morning I've ever had. Thank you for everything you are doing for us, and have already done. Thank you very much.” Bravo!

Thanks for highlighting this Emiliano, Settled regularly provides advice to EU and Ukrainian citizens working on isolated farms and living in caravans

This is crazy! Glad that you made it ok @marz.zukowska, @pomocorguk.bsky.social! The #eVisa system is flawed. With @the3million.bsky.social let's help #FixTheDigitalSystem! BTW: brilliant panel at last week's Beyond Borders talk @migrationmuseumuk, thank you! πŸ™ www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...

Farah says: "I had a very difficult situation for a long time, I was sad & confused. But now, thank god, I am happy. I am sure that 2025 will be a good year for me and my child." Fantastic news! This positive result is down to the evidence collated by Farah & our wonderful collaboration with CARAS!

Good article in the Independent about today's changes affecting Ukrainian children www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...

BBC interview with 'Valentyna' a Ukrainian working in the UK, Settled helped make a visa application for her son back in August. With the rule change today there is hope that the visa will finally be granted. We are supporting over 100 similar families. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

So proud of my incredible colleagues at Settled after the news this morning. After a year of challenges the government has changed the rules to allow Ukrainians to bring their children to the UK. Our phones are busy with calls from delighted and relieved families. settled.org.uk/ukraine-chil...

Our statement on these changes now available here: settled.org.uk/ukraine-chil...

Government U-turn means Ukrainian parents who left children behind can now bring them to the UK - Settled's lawyers have worked so hard on this issue over the last year. www.gov.uk/guidance/chi...

Huge thanks to the inspiring @MigrationMuseumUK & the @paulhamlynfoundation for such a thought-provoking discussion imagining a borderless world through a range of creative visions for equitable futures, bringing so many orgs, movements & people all doing our bit towards greater migration justice.πŸ™

We have a new short film about our charity which you can watch and share here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_w8...

We're returning to where we started - the UK's relationship with the EU. Labour needs to put the national interest first and we have plans to 'encourage' them. We're looking for someone to lead on this work at @goodlawproject.bsky.social. jobs.theguardian.com/job/9445657/...

Job vacancy! Governance administrator. Support, organise & advise us to deliver Settled's governance responsibilities. Part time, mostly remote working. Friendly, warm-hearted charity going from strength to strength. Please share so we reach good candidates. www.charityjob.co.uk/jobs/settled...

Seraphus and Settled work closely together and have a lot in common so it's not surprising that both our organisations have come to this decision at about the same time. If you follow Settled please consider following Seraphus to - and vice versa - so we can rebuild our supporters here. Thanks!

We've taken a unanimous decision today to move away from using Twitter/X on ethical grounds. Please help us to retain connections with as many important colleagues as possible by following us here and sharing this message. Many thanks from the Settled team.

Lovely feedback today: "Having met the Settled group along my journey in search of how to make the correct application for my Settled Status was fundamental. Their advice, knowledge, professionalism and suggestions were precious, focused and effective. Nothing was left to chance."

Exciting opportunity to support @settled.bsky.social, an organisation helping individuals and families caught up, many times totally unexpectedly, in a complicated and hostile immigration law implementation environment, following Brexit. www.charityjob.co.uk/volunteer-jo...
