🧶 term of the day: Crocking When your yarn (or fabric?) has extra dye that comes off on your hands as you work. More common with natural dyes, especially indigo. Thankfully this indigo dye comes off with a hand wash or two. Usually it's not a problem in the FO because washing and vinegar helps.

I experimented with chain plying *while knitting* yesterday: basically a strategy to hold 3 strands at a time without the chaos of 3 balls. I think I like it! This fingering had too much color variation for my tastes. Held 3tog mutes it imo. It looks more like an oil slick now.
