Please share and attend if you can. There will be a lot of worldwide SW orgs sitting in on this ❤️ This event is being shared on behalf of @ bestpracticespolicyproject (IG)

It's International Sex Worker' Rights Day! ☂ Today, sex workers around the world continue to call for safety, justice and inclusion. Although sex work is not illegal in England & Wale, many activities associated with it are. Find out more: buff.ly/4id85xr #ISWRD #InternationalSexWorkersRightsDay

(1/11) It’s #InternationalSexWorkersRightsDay! #InternationalSexWorkersRightsDay began in 2001 when 25,000 sex workers gathered in India for a festival despite prohibitionist groups’ efforts to prevent it.

A comment to a video I was watching described the English language thusly: "English is not a language. It's three languages in a coat punching each other." Sharing this mental image counts as my good deed for today. You're welcome, folks!

(1/2) "I learned long ago how to set boundaries, and with boundaries, it's not my job to impact another person's behaviour. My job is to protect myself from them." m.youtube.com/watch?v=CMfl...

(1/2) I watched Desperate Housewives (2004-2012) when I was too young to watch it, so a lot of its issues went over my head (re: the classism, anti-LantinX, anti-Asian, and anti-Black racism, + the statutory 🍇). However, can we talk about the anti-sex worker stigma in the Marc Cherry universe?

I just heard about Angie Stone's passing. My deepest condolences to her loved ones and fans. Her absence will be deeply felt in the hip hop and R&B communities. The world has lost an immense talent💔 www.cnn.com/2025/03/01/e...

(1/2) They haven't posted much yet. However, I'd figure I'd direct folks to Maggie's (@maggiestoronto.bsky.social). Maggie's Toronto Sex Workers Action Project is Canada's oldest sex worker justice initiative offering wrap-around services to current and former sex workers: www.maggiestoronto.org

"Hollywood Loves Sex Worker Culture — But Not Sex Workers": www.huffpost.com/entry/anora-... Replace the above title with the following, "[X] Loves Sex Worker Culture- But Not Sex Workers," and you've got a near universal truth

(1/2) www.wsj.com/video/linked... This really upset me. Like with most platforms, I'm guessing LinkedIn was able to establish itself specifically through sex work and sex work-adjacent labour.

"What we have learned is that as we move towards a society in which sex workers are treated with dignity, given the right to self-representation, and allowed to work in an environment free from judgement, they give back in ways that benefit everyone." vtdigger.org/2025/02/25/h...

(1/4) As someone who used Skype quite a bit in my younger years, I have a lot of emotions about this. Skype was historic in its own right, and its shutting down is also history in the making.

Google apparently labeled some Canadian provincial parks as state parks. Again, if Google is going to be changing names, they should be changing them to remove any colonial influence or designation. These parks don't "belong" to either Canada or the US #LandBack

28 Days of Black History, "In Review: Black History Month 2025:" mailchi.mp/28daysofblac... Remember to subscribe and donate to 28 Days ❤️. They "won’t be continuing a daily cadence until next February, but [they] WILL be featuring 2-3 Black history stories each month!"

(1/5) March is #WomensHistoryMonth and #BisexualHealthAwarenessMonth!

I understand that people are rightfully upset about Gene Hackman, but for fuck sake, can someone leave room for Betsy Arakawa? She also lost her life. She was a person with a life and identity outside of being Gene's wife. She was a classical pianist, a dog-lover, and had people who cared for her.

As #BlackHistoryMonth ends, I want some folks to remember that BHM is year-long. Black folks' tribulations, triumphs, and lived experiences don't begin/end in Feb. History is intersectional. All history is Black history, and neither Black history nor BHM would exist without Black sex workers.

Day 28 of 28 Days of Black History! The final spotlight shines on Dorothy Lee Bolden: mailchi.mp/28daysofblac... Remember to subscribe and donate to 28 Days of Black History. Doing so supports their current archive and allows their work to continue yearly❤️.

February 28 is #HIVIsNotACrimeAwarenessDay. Despite what the state says, being HIV/AIDS positive is not a crime. Just like how being gay, trans, Black, or a sex worker isn’t/shouldn't be a crime- all of which intersect with anti-HIV/AIDS stigma. You are here. You matter. And you aren’t a crime.

I heard about Gene Hackman, Betsy Arakawa, and their dog. This is truly and deeply upsetting. There's been so much grief this month. I hope folks have the space to feel this grief 🫂❤️

Doug Ford just won his third consecutive majority. There are no term limits on the role of Premier, the Premier may continue serving as long as they retain the confidence of the legislature. 🙃🙃🫠🫠. Fun fact: this GIF is actual found footage of me upon hearing the election results #ONpoli #cdnpoli

.....I hate it here. I hate my home province

AMENDED: I just heard the news about Michelle Trachtenberg. This is truly heartbreaking. My condolences to her family, friends, and those who knew and cared for her. The world lost a little bit of sunshine today. May she Rest in Peace.
