The military parade is an insult to veterans-how do active duty troops feel, with a billion dollars appropriated for barracks repairs (broken plumbing, mold etc.) now being diverted to support the military’s mission at the southern border?.

I had the honor of meeting George Chall on Memorial Day. He landed on Omaha Beach as an army medic and served through France, Belgium and Germany - including theBattle of the Bulge. At 102 years of age, he gave a moving speech to the small crowd gathered in Pittsboro NC. A hero.
