Why is the shower the best place to cry it out? My stepdad passed and the shower lets me drop my walls and actually start to process the loss and memories. Our poor hot water heater.

Today's compound cut piece on the scrollsaw. The saw is dialed in and my stock holding jig just got an upgrade. This is one of my cleaner cuts and I'm very happy with this #woodworking exercise. I'll probably move back to small ornaments now. Much faster to cut. No idea how to paint it though.

I've been sober for just over 3 years. I was spending at least $40 a week on alcohol. That's at least $2k a year (probably closer to $3k) and $6-9k freed up. We're flying to Italy this summer with tickets funded by that cash. #sobriety is a challenge but I'll take Italy over hangovers.

How can I best deal with the inevitable failure of the Jamaican restaurant that just opened? The food was flavorful but they're ironing out two major problems - long waits and lukewarm food. I really hope they nail it as it's great having a nearby restaurant with something other than bar food.
