THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. The April 6 episode focused on trans athletes. It was empathetic, informative and insightful. I think it should be must viewing for all families and politicians. 4-8-25.

When Trump says these tariffs are “reciprocal” it’s important to know he’s counting stuff like VAT – which is charged on domestic products as well as imports – as tariffs, which no-one else does. Because they’re not. So the numbers he’s giving are all nonsense.

Just found out NIH has officially canceled our grant, a longitudinal study of Alzheimer's disease in Black Americans. I cannot even put into words how angry I am. The truth is they are canceling it because it has Black in the title. That's it, there is no other reason to do this.
