ā€œHelloā€. When Mum catches you trying to sneak in after an all nighteršŸ˜†. Wombat tales.

Tribute to love, resilience and song: Indigenous musical legends Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter immortalised in bronze

Word of the day is ā€˜librocubicularistā€™: one who loves nothing better than reading in bed. (Not easy to say, but Iā€™m glad to know it exists).

Little John, our BIG daddy wombat. Dug a burrow in the space at out our front door, you can hear him humph loudly when itā€™s been raining too long, he doesnā€™t like the ladies disturbing his beauty sleep around the full moon, but best of all he likes to sit and look at šŸŒ¼ šŸŒ¼šŸŒ¼šŸŒ¼

Wow, found a birthday card of my Great Great Grandmaā€™s today, about 1882. It was at the bottom of my Nans ribbon box and I had never looked insidešŸ„¹. Absolute treasureā¤ļø

The storm came and went without a single raindropšŸ’§. Try harder next time please.

Breakfast view. Morning worldā¤ļøšŸŒ

This our big daddy ā€œLittle Johnā€. He is huge. Our no. 1 ā€˜under the houseā€™ resident. He spends his days snoozing, getting up occasionally to scratch his back and doesnā€™t mind a got chat. Here he is watching the chickens and showing surprise when they jump off the deck.

The view from the ā€˜outside dunnyā€™ is pretty good. Should be up and going before guests get here near Christmas šŸ‘

3 of the colours from a mystery bag of Bearded Irises my neighbour gave me last year. Looking forward to seeing what else it has to offerā¤ļøšŸ’šŸŒ±

This morning Iā€™m suffering from that most elite of sport injuries ā€œrolled over in bed and my back twingedā€. šŸ…šŸ†šŸ„‡

The Bearded Irises are all in full bloom, the Rosemary is going bonkers, the outdoor Dunny (to right) is being recommissioned and the cows have wandered off over the hill.

This is No. 2 under house wombat, Mrs John. Very sweet, a bit shy, having a quick grass breakfast before ducking under the house to snooze all day. Ah the life.

Woke up this morning ready for an afternoon nap. I can hear one of the wombats scratching its back under the house and the chickens are calling to be let out. So no sleep in.
