Wherever possible please buy your books directly from authors and/or publishers. Even ebooks (then Amazon can't delete them either). We make a better cut and you get the same thing or better, plus Bezos and ilk don't get richer. Win win win.

Letters went out to federal workers this morning stating they were fired due to poor performance. However, all employees had been rated as “exceptional” performers by their supervisors. Please keep these records and pursue wrongful termination claims. Let the lawsuits begin.

Thank you to everyone who has joined the resistance! Our ranks grow stronger every day.

Knowledge is power…

On Feb. 14th I try always to give honor to one of the greatest contributors to American democracy in our nation’s history, Frederick Douglass. Born into slavery, Douglass never knew his actual birthdate, and adopted Feb. 14th as the day. His penetrating insights about our country inspire me daily.

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too. EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them. Here’s our shareable guide ⬇️: (pt. 1/2)

Oh, for the opportunity

He really is the bestest business man ever. No one does business like he does business. Members of the Harvard Business Review weep every time he does a deal he does business stuff so bigly. MAGA cheers every time he does a business thing because they’ve never seen anything so beautiful.

this is a catastrophe; there are plenty of people on my side of the political spectrum who have issues with the CDC, but...well, the good done for the world by their work is almost impossible to measure, and this will harm many both here and abroad.

Across the government, probationary employees and Schedule A workers—including individuals with severe physical, psychiatric, or intellectual disabilities, as well as veterans—are being let go.

And so it begins

It’s all about keeping women and/or BIPOC down; it’s never just DEI

To all my American friends: We Canadians are well aware that there is only one person to blame for the trade war against our country - the Felon In Chief. We will fight because that is what we do, but our anger is not against you. Our bond will endure. 🇨🇦🫶🇺🇸

Hells yeah! Let’s get that young leadership in there!

During the racially contentious 60s, Shirley Chisholm became the first Black woman Congressperson. She repped New York's 12th District from 1969 to 1983, and in 1972, she became the first woman to run for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination. Her campaign slogan was "Unbought and unbossed”

We are in the dumbest and darkest timeline. My feed is nothing but Trump fuckups and other stupid behavior. I’m so over hearing about this jackass for the next 4+ years.

The most common question I receive is how everyday citizens can help in the fight for democracy. My advice, take the first step, start with something small and see what works for you. Here are ten things all of us can do. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/10-t...

"I was a heroin addict for 14 years," RFK Jr just now in his bid to be confirmed as Secretary of HHS. Imagine a person of color or a woman saying that and people shrugging it off as cool. That is 100% pure uncut white male privilege right there.

In his parting message @jimacosta.bsky.social said we should all post: I will not give into the lies. I will not give into the fear. We understand the assignment, Jim. And fuck @cnn.com.

I will not give into the lies. I will not give into the fear. Repeat it.

Abolish ICE.
