Stopped in to record with the Asia Pacific Foundation Canada in Asia Conference Podcast while in Singapore. Here's a peek behind the scenes from the episode - will share the recording when it's out!

10 years at the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences already! Looking forward to reminiscing on our evolution as an institute on our webinar scheduled February 24 at 1700 PST/2000 EST/February 25 0630 IST. Register here to attend: form.jotform.com/250473855171... See you there! ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ ๐ŸŒŽ

As my commitments in Singapore wrap up, I am looking forward to my next destination: Mumbai, India! My next 2 weeks will include talks, meetings, interviews and outreach, including an invited lecture at the Nehru Planetarium - hope to see you there! ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿš€โœจ๏ธ๐ŸŒ

How wonderful to take the stage at the Canada in Asia Conference in Singapore Gala tonight for a fireside chat alongside the legendary Koichi Wakata of Axiom Space, moderated by Ambassador & Special Envoy Ian McKay. ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿš€โœจ๏ธ Thank you Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada for hosting! #CIAC2025

Hello, Singapore! ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿš€โœจ๏ธ

How special to be a part of the Council of India Societies of Edmonton India Day Awards Ceremony 2025! So amazing to see so many brilliant and talented students and youth being recognized. Thank you for including me. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ†

Delighted to be headed to Singapore for the Canada-in-Asia conference this week, where legendary Axiom astronaut Koichi Wakata & I will take the stage to discuss opportunities for Canadian-Asian investment, innovation & collaboration in space. See you there! ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿš€

From 0g to under the sea, I have proudly brought the red and white of the Canadian flag with me wherever I go. From its first unfurling 60 years ago to the next, here's to taking our beloved maple leaf to every corner of this Earth - and beyond. Happy Flag Day! ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ #flagday

It's fitting to end a week celebrating the International Day of Women & Girls in Science with a reminder that there are 24 hours left to submit your proposal for science to our upcoming! Remember those movies growing up where you saw an array of women space explorers leading the way? This is it. It's here in 2025. And no matter who's trying to cover it up, tear it down, hide it away...it's already here. And it's not going away. ๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿš€

This International Day of Women and Girls in Science, remember to uplift and amplify the amazing women scientists around you. According to a 2024 UNOOSA report, women still only make up 20% of the technical workforce across the space sector globally. We still have work to do. ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿš€

New York bound! I'm incredibly honored to be recognized at the United Nations for the International Day of Women and Girls in Science this week! You can watch live on UNTV this Tuesday, February 11th, starting at 1610 EST. ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿš€ webtv.un.org/en/schedule/...

I like to make my patients laugh. At the end of a visit in the ER, I often say, "and if your symptoms aren't better, just come back and yell at us to do our job!" Most patients laugh, but some are shocked that anyone could do that to another human, and say, "I would never!"

Follow along with me on my day at the NASA Ames Research Center. From incredibly cool buildings (what do they store in there? ๐Ÿค”) to even cooler discussions on off-world biomanufacturing, every second here was a (figurative) blast. ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿš€

Imagine meeting for two days with experts to discuss & brainstorm Mars-shot ideas pertaining to sustainability, life support systems, Earth-independent operations, energy & infrastructure on Mars. Why do we practice formation floating, crew interaction, and joint payload operations in microgravity in advance of our spaceflight? Microgravity experience is key. As we prepare for our IIAS-02 spaceflight, not only do myself, Norah & Kellie need to be comfortable in the microgravity environment...

What else did ๐Ÿ‘ get up to at the NASA Investigators Workshop? I presented our IIAS work on the 0g testing of the Solvemed.AI smartphone app, to look for pupillometric changes in the 0g environment, which can potentially be used to monitor brain health over long-duration spaceflight! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿง ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿš€

From conception to delivery! How stellar to be able to present our work on IUD insertion in microgravity at the NASA Investigators Workshop this week! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ”ดโœจ๏ธ

Hot off the press! The deadline for submissions for science aboard our IIAS-02 research spaceflight has been extended until February 15, 2025. You can apply here ๐Ÿš€โœจ๏ธ astronauticsinstitute.org/wp-content/u... FAQs here: astronauticsinstitute.org/wp-content/u... Looking forward to your submissions!
