I got local flour at the farmer’s market and, friends? I am back in my bread era!

Day 3: Stowaway! Tag me and/or use #maytropemayhem and I'll reskeet your fills!

Heretic (2024, Hugh Grant) was interesting. I wish it had done more digging into the psychological elements with the action, but the ending was thematically satisfying. Would love to discuss.

Just finished reading A Misfortune of Lake Monsters by Nicole M. Wolverton; what a fantastic way to end my reading drought. This YA horror was fun, bloody and rooted in the difficult experience of becoming your own person when your family has their own plans for your future. Highly recommend!

I haven’t read in the last week, but I still managed a decent showing this month! Mostly audiobooks, a lot of non-fiction, not a dud among them:

Elementary is touching some sort of Wound in me and now I have a sad. I think this calls for some digging…

Look how beautiful!!! Also, I have a story in this one! Look out for my period, sapphic, vampire/human, ‘wait, that’s an OPTION?,’ Idiot to ‘oh’ story.

It's time for a second installment of Tiny Press Press — a series of Q&As with the people behind tiny presses publishing speculative fiction! This first piece features Catherine of @qospress.bsky.social Go check out the interview and give her a follow! dancingstarpress.com/2025/04/30/1...

I love pigeons. I nursed one back to health when I was a kid and they’re beautiful and gentle and lovely. You cannot change my mind.

I am crawling into this week. Sometimes it’s like that. But I’m damn well going to crawl to my virtual poetry class this evening. Creation is living. It’s my window to a better self and a better future.

Oh, wow. And they have about 4x as much stuff now as in that pic - DPP is growing madly!

We're a day or 20 late celebrating #weneeddiversebookday but here we are with 10 of our favorite queer books with POC protagonists! You'll definitely want to visit the wordpress blog for the deets today, as we also share why we love and recommend them: duckprintspress.com/2025/04/22/q...

This week is “Hate Week,” named after the “holiday” in George Orwell’s 1984; the purpose of the "real" event is to draw attention to totalitarianism. We posted a fiction list earlier this week; today we post our non-fiction list! Find both lists on our blog: duckprintspress.com/2025/04/18/a...

As I recall, A Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers fit that for me.

Unlikely friends.

Happy infusion day to me!

That feel when you get overruled on grammar because copilot said… 🤦‍♀️
