I did not learn until yesterday about the phenomenon of mass suicides in Germany as they were losing the war. Whole towns and families succumbed to it. German propaganda played up murder/suicide as a noble option, preferable to surrendering. Those are the actions of a cult. Clarifying to learn.

Just read that Trump, via Executive Order, has closed the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum indefinitely. Visited last August, as I wanted my kids to see it. Profoundly sad and scared by what is happening and the Americans cheering it on.
