Everyone, stop what you’re doing and look at this sweet angel enjoying her sunbeam.

[006/100] #the100daysoflife I sketched this pacific madrone and stump before we pulled out of our campsite this morning. Of course I wanted to make it an inky sketch and then realized I packed everything except my brush pen. #the100dayproject

[005/100] #the100daysoflife We took advantage of the warm sunny weather and snuck in a midweek camping trip at one of our favorite WA state parks. I feel so rusty painting outside but hopefully i can get over that soon. #the100dayproject

[004/100] #the100daysoflife more apples today. My standard art supplies are all packed up for an adventure tomorrow, so I decided to use some watercolor pencils while I sit and wait for a package delivery. #the100dayproject

[003/100] #the100daysoflife I was laid up sick on the couch almost all day and really did NOT think I'd get any art done today, but heck yeah I am feeling almost entirely back to normal now and got this apple painted at my dining table! #the100dayproject

[002/100] #the100daysoflife I tried to stay away from her, but Daphne lured me back. I kept it loose but also restarted a hundred times. Life drawing is hard, y'all! #the100dayproject

[001/100] Welcome to #the100daysoflife. Today I am starting #the100dayproject for the... seventh time? My challenge this year is to step away from my desk, even for just a few minutes, and draw something from life. I couldn’t kick off the project without painting my favorite subject, Daphne.

Tomorrow’s the day! The start of #the100dayproject ! And I’m still not sure what exactly I want to call my project! It’s gonna be 100 days of nonsense at this rate!

An itty bitty #watercolor sketch of a big snowy mountain (Mount Baker) #mountainsofbluesky #art #pnw

Today I did the unthinkable and inventoried all of my stock in a timely manner after a market instead of tossing it haphazardly back into storage to deal with later.

A #watercolor painting of a little guy I spotted somewhere on my Wonderland Trail hike at Mount Rainier National Park last year. I sure hope our parks somehow survive this nonsense and I can spend more time out on the trail this year. #fungifriends

There is nothing like a hot shower after a long day of slingin’ art in a cold aircraft hangar. PS If you’re in Seattle tomorrow come check out Handmadeland at Magnuson Park! There is so much awesome stuff! (Like my art) (but also other incredible art)

Camano Bluff, 2024. #Watercolor and ink on Arches cold press. The original piece is available right now at Channel Marker Cider in Seattle, but I'll have prints this weekend at Handmadeland! #blueskiesofbluesky #art #PNW

Second Beach in the Fog, 2024. #Watercolor and Pentel brush pen on Arches cold press, 9x12" #foggybeachesofbluesky

My feed is somehow full of #paleoart right as I'm reading Jurassic Park and I am not upset about this development at all.

Any artists interested in participating in #the100dayproject this year? I’d love to post my journey on here and focus less on that other place, and I’d love to have other artists to follow along with! 😻

I’ve been really into slugs lately. Slugs and snails. I can’t wait to see them out on the trails again sometime soon. Anyway here’s a sketch of a bookmark design I worked on yesterday. I won’t have any of this design done for Handmadeland, but at future events cause I think it’s cute as heck.

I’ve got some Seattle events this month! Handmadeland at Magnuson Park is going to be an awesome 2-day market, and my artwork will be up at Channel Marker Cider in Ballard for the next 2 months! I am excited to take part in the Ballard Art Walk tonight!

I love vacation, but this is really nice too.

I’ve been in Mexico for the last week and it’s just been so nice to not be in the USA for a little bit.

average great pyrenees behaviour

It’s not a phase, mom!

Me, now.

One thing that I absolutely hate about the last few days leading up to an event is how productive I can be and how many tasks I can knock out in a short time. I always think "why am I not this productive all the time??" I'd be so much less stressed out.

Friends! Here is a starter pack of Seattle artists to brighten up your feed in these dark days. go.bsky.app/HC4AKtK

Come on, January, it’s time to move along now.
