Hearing a lot about that Seia from Blue Archive, sounds like it's time to work on nekomimi and hair for me.

To the Marisa cosplayer who complimented my Venti outfit on Saturday at the convention: Thank you! You looked stunning as well, and I'm sorry I didn't compliment you on how good your cosplay was. (~_~;)

Might take back up translating some of my favorite artists' works. Been missing spreading their stuff and the occasional interactions I'd get from doing it. Just need to see if I can't find some to start with...

I hope everyone here had a wonderful Christmas, whether you celebrate the season or just being with family and friends. I was reminded how blessed I am with mine, and am happy I was able to make some of my friends have a better holiday with some letters, even if it was just by a little bit.

Getting somewhat comfortable doing the rough body shape, starting to try and get that more unique style I'd like (heavily inspired by ChaikoDog and Porforever). Still a long way to go, but I'm very happy with how I'm progressing. Now, if only I could get hair figured out...

First snow of the year really makes you want to just crawl back into a nice warm bed, so I tried to draw that feeling. Got a long way to go with proportions and perspectives, but someday we'll get there. Just happy I actually drew something without a prompt and had my own idea for once.

Been a bit, still trying to find the right balance between the shapes I use for bodies and the style I'd like to draw but until I do I'll stick to what I most naturally seem to draw. Hopefully once I nail the fundamentals I can do finer details.

Been noticing some common themes in my drawing practices and was wondering about them, but then I remembered who my inspirations and favorites are and it made a lot of sense. Some day I hope to be on their level, and imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I suppose.

Stopped by the LACMA, figured maybe seeing some classics could put things into perspective. I did learn the most important lesson that I could: "plank"

Probably won't post everything I draw as I learn, but decided to at least have the start recorded. Going to spend more time breaking down some art from my inspirations into basic shapes and learning what I can, but for my first drawing in a while I'm not displeased with how it came out.

Well, it was this or cosplay and I want to finally be able to do fanart for some of my favorite artists. It'll be a journey for sure, but it'll be cool watching myself improve and I have some really good friends like @nichijojo.bsky.social who have been teaching me so it's time to do them proud.

Seeing as here feels more like an art space and I don't have a bunch of people following me for translations now, I might just use this opportunity to get back into drawing. Might even tell some of my inspirations I like their works for once. Looking at you, Chaikodog, Porforever, and Nichijojo.
