#iTeachMath #MathSky results from my classes’ Super Bowl Prop Bets activity. They would have lost almost $700 if we would have bet their picks. Glad I’m to cheap to bet.

#EduSky #iTeachMath Students pushed back today on changing mixed numbers to fractions before dividing them. I finally showed them the first 3 steps to dividing while leaving them as mixed numbers. All but 1 student caved after seeing this.

I was doing a Desmos Classroom lesson today on proportional relationships. I asked “If you buy 4 lbs. of chicken tenders how much does it cost?” Most of the class says “$0”. One kid says “$5”. I then went into how when you order and there is a shipping fee that is not proportional. 1/2
