At long last we've had some proper rain. Which is kind of typical, as we have friends up who believe it always rains here, and now are convinced they are right. If only they knew!

It's suddenly very green here.

Skyeline

There's something different about Graham this morning.

Part of the forest on the west face of Ben Shieldaig.

They have started planting trees in Glen Shieldaig. Let's for a moment assume that this chap in the orange coat just planted number 1. That leaves only 299,999 to go. I hope he has a decent osteopath.

Loch Shieldaig was in the pink earlier this morning.

Here's another from Monday's unusual sunrise, looking over the 'bay of deception' with Liathach behind.

The flying camera coming in to land yesterday. (Yes, it's a tad tricky!)

A more interesting (aerial) shot of the Princess taken just now.

The Hebridean Princess has just arrived in the Loch.

Reservoir Dog.

Loch Dughaill (and the moon) 06:00 this morning.

You ain't seen me, right.

One of the few.

The River Bran by Achnasheen.

06:00 this morning.

Clouds in the sea.

Easter Sunday weather. Upper Loch Torridon.

Dog walking by Loch Dughaill.

A wooden jetty on Loch Maree.

Two of the coires below Beinn Bhan yesterday.

Sounds and sights from the forest this Easter.

Today's weather.

05:30 this morning.

Looking north over Upper Loch Torridon yesterday.

A passable impression of Michael Fabricant.

Sometimes an image of Torridon gets close to portraying its size and grandeur. This, from yesterday, I think gets close. Shadows from clouds help with the depth of field, and removing some 'flatness'. (If you are viewing on anything other than a phone, give it a click through - which'll help).

One from last week. Loch Shieldaig.

Another from yesterday afternoon. Beinn Damh in the background.

Today's tree. (Actually it was yesterday's tree, but who's counting).

Last month - this month.

'Lady Jane' has been in the loch overnight. She's leaving as I type.

It's looking much more 'April' now.

Gorse by the River Torridon.

Snow on the tops again.
