Between Disney, Bungie, Xbox, Sony, Nintendo, and so on so forth, it really feels like these companies optimized consumer appeal out of their brand huh? Like lynchpin people keeping it all together were removed. Reggie packaged Wii Sports with the Wii, now Welcome Tour is $10. Etcetera.

Y’know if Bungie hadn’t snowballed their negative reputation, then Marathon would have received a ton of hype and excitement. Reception is mixed because we can no longer give them the benefit of the doubt. We’re keeping them at arm’s length because we don’t want to be backstabbed again.
