Lee and Kirby silver age goodness! A palette cleanser to help you get through these difficult times.

I've listed some more nice comics in my eBay store. I invite you to have a look.

IMHO the Chris Claremont run of X-Men was really well written. Mostly, the art was pretty good too. Occasionally, the cover was not as good as the story.

Warren Publishing Company created some amazing magazines featuring great illustrations and scary stories. The painted covers were horrific yet beautiful at the same time

When I was a young boy, my favorite comic book was The Mighty Thor. Now that I can afford to buy the occasional silver age comic, I'm gravitating towards Journey into Mystery with Thor. Copies can be pricey but there are still some affordable GD to VG books for sale.

My monthly hipcomic auction is on. This one is focused on Spider-Man and X-Men. Bidding starts at 60% off the already low listed price. Here's a link: www.hipcomic.com/event/shiny-...

A few days ago, I was followed by Mark freaking Hammel. In honour of this momentous occasion, here's a classic Star Wars comic cover featuring a young guy who looked vaguely like him.

I have one UK comic book but my knowledge of British comics is limited. (Relatives used to mail us the Beano book each year when I was young. If you're familiar with UK comics please tell me its value. Its Tarzan Adventures Vol. 6, No. 18 (1956) Westworld Publishers. Thanks!

I've just listed some nice comics in my eBay and hip comic stores (links in bio). Check 'em out.

Also, all the Anime opening and closing songs are Sung by the same woman who has somehow managed to stay 14 years old since the early 2000s.

Is anyone a fan of the old Classics Illustrated comics?

My first time as a vintage vendor: The Cloverdale Antiques and Collectables Show in 2017. I was selling comics, vintage clothing, First Nations art, vintage barware, and even some mid century modern furniture. My sales were outstanding that day!

Boxing Day is a bonus Canadian holiday. In Canada, it has evolved into the biggest shopping day of the year: Our equivalent to Black Friday. I'm holding a Boxing Day sale, 50% off all modern era comics, at my little online comic shop. www.hipcomic.com/store/shiny-...

Let me introduce Juniper. She's 40.1% German Shepherd Dog. She's also part Labrador Retriever, American Bulldog Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Dalmatian, Rottweiler, and Bull Mastiff. She barks at dogs and people she doesn't know, she sheds, she steals stuff for attention. We love her anyway.

Spider-Man was my second favourite cartoon show when I was a kid. (Number 1 was Scooby Doo)

Back in the day, the X-Men were some comic collector's favourites because there were no cartoons, action figures or movies. They were really only popular within the hobby. Then Wolverine joined and soon they became a pop culture phenomenon.

I'm a big fan of Silver Age DC comics. Of course I like Batman, Superman, and Green Lantern but I also like some of their non-superhero titles like Mystery in Space and Tales of the Unexpected.

I really like the Silver Age comics. Some of my favourites are Hulk, Fantastic Four, and Thor.

I'm a big fan of 1980s/1990s Indy comics. When you think of that era, the first thing that comes to mind is TMNT but my favourite was a Dark Horse character, Concrete. Paul Chadwick's stories and art was first rate.

I'm holding an online auction to clear out my stock of modern and copper age comic books. The bidding starts at 75% off the already low list price. Bidding ends at 4 pm EST on Wednesday, December 18. Here's a link: www.hipcomic.com/event/shiny-...
