Turn based games have been around for years, theyve never disappeared. Maybe if you only played FF, it did, but it didn’t. There’s been lots of amazing ones releasing, big and small, for a long while. Hell, even these last 3 years we seen back to back to back amazing turn based rpgs. 🫡

just gonna repeat what I said in a reply, the idea that JRPGs went through a decline is almost entirely an incorrect narrative based on xenophobia 7th gen saw a lot of Japanese developers focus on handhelds and western media saw handhelds as just lesser and willfully ignored those platforms
