So much fun presenting at the plant science seminar at Penn State University. Getting to present what I found to the people who advised, helped, and guided me to those findings is just the best feeling. Also, I got great questions, it seems like we are headed in interesting directions.

Honored to be a part of this series of seminars at Cornell and also, proud of the research I discussed here: youtu.be/YBTLpt98PaA?...

Absolutely loved presenting my work at Cornell University today. Got a lot of questions which were interesting and seemed interested in my research. I continue to believe that presenting like that is the best way to share science. I hope to be able to share a link to the talk soon

How far into your academic career do you need to be to stop making un realistic plans for “stuff I’ll do on the holiday”. Holly hell it’s almost over and I have achieved so little!!

A new paper just came out using our #tef panel: www.frontiersin.org/journals/pla...

About our header photo: the first members of the department, then known as the 'Systematic Botany Branch' Alexander Eig, Naomi Feinbrun and Michael Zohary getting some work done at the herbarium. Missing from the photo is Otto Warburg, department founder and director at the time.

A good start to replace the too expensive Biorender. With a 47$ billion annual budget, NIH can make this effort and also expand the image library.

I wonder if me liking applied science and preferring concert version of songs are part of the same thing

A strange realization that even in “Friends” the only one who actually had to work was the academic.. the warning signs were there

Can anyone hook me up with a genomic mapping panel of soy lines? Preferably land races?

We’re launching #PlantFizzFriday where we will share your ecophys and phys related content. Submit pictures/videos to [email protected] with a brief caption and you will be entered in a raffle to win an exclusive BSA Phys/Ecophys section sticker! #ecophys #botany

Sometimes you set out on a road with no idea how long it will be. Our new paper is out! With some genomic markers for key traits in tef. Including lodging. I really hope someone picks this up and keeps working on these findings : doi.org/10.1002/ppp3...

Awesome seminar by @ehlawrence-paul.bsky.social on vegetative phase change! It almost feels like any work that doesn’t consider VPC is missing.

Today was a cool day! My son’s class came to visit my greenhouse, we talked about what plants eat and how they communicate, and about how great and warm greenhouses are in the PA winter.

Let's get some plant ecophys introductions going on to connect everyone that is new. I'm a physiologist that loves the plant vascular system (especially the phloem) and anything phenology. I saw @wmhammond.bsky.social join recently. Want to introduce yourself?

Hi, @jrossibarra.bsky.social. I really like your research. We had a few meals together and I respect you. I noticed you reposted an infographic about bombings in Gaza. Was wondering if you would also repost an infographic about the children (same age and mine a yours) who have been taken hostages.
