Just a reminder to the folks that are like "I'm glad we live in Canada, that could never happen here!" It has. My province has already violated the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child in order to harm trans kids. Pretending we're not like 6 months behind the States doesn't help anyone.

I think my bar for judging if someone is a decent person is that they can accept they are wrong when they learn they are wrong. If they were forced or pressured to admit it, it doesn't count. They just have to respect that they were wrong and that simply having been wrong in of itself isn't bad.

The thing is: I think Niel Gaiman on some level actually believed what he was saying/writing. I do think that it's possible for somebody to do monstrously awful things and likewise hold onto simple moral beliefs. That's sadly something we've seen time and time again.
