If all you have are novelty songs and you put them all in a row it eventually ceases to be a novelty and just becomes my setlist.

It’s alphabetical by last name or go jump in the lake.

You guys! I’m starting back at work on May 20. Come hang out. It has been too long and quite stupid but we are finally getting back on track. Just short shifts and half days for the first month. Don’t make me overdo it! See you out there back in the world.❤️

Travellers and troubadours. Locals and legends. Sweet music at Meow! That’s Hot on Bank. Every Tuesday night.

There was something in the air. Maybe just springtime. Everyone brought their ‘A’ game to the songwriters club. So happy in this little music community. And proud of all my Pals of Rock.

It’s been two months less a day since my bicycle accident. To put it lightly, it’s been the experience of a lifetime. Still and all, would not recommend. Testing my strength and practicing with my grandfather’s shillelagh in the hope of walking/working/cycling soon. Wish me luck!

First porch-sit of the year. Happy sunny Sunday every buddy.

A reminder that this weekend is fare-free service. A brief limited taste of what a city with its Transit priorities first and foremost would feel like. Enjoy it! Let us know how the new ways to suffer are going for you.

My passport application was rejected because the government is stupid.

So long hockey. Let’s go baseball! Home Opener May 20 vs New Jersey.

These two old punkrock upstarts held their own and swapped a few songs, smiles and highfives with the nice young indie folkers. A very fine open mic at Anina’s in Vanier. Last Wednesday of the month. But don’t smoke too loudly cos neighbours.

The Schizophonics from San Diego are coming to Ottawa this summer. Do not miss them.

I need less news about the American president and more of The Go-Gos in my feed.

I love my city for its great choices of live music. I had to turn down several cool events before landing on troubadour Ron Leary. He and I once bonded over punk band The Dry Heaves & third baseman Stubby Clapp, which is, aside from Jack Scott, pretty much everything I know about Windsor, Ontario.

My crutches have footprints, which is how you will know I have been in the elevator. And the very bottom part of the crutch is the sole. Isn’t it?

I’d like to thank Willie Nelson for being Willie Nelson.

Heading down to Quinn’s this afternoon to catch Ron Leary on the Allaire Show. Always a great time. Join me. 3-5pm

Finally started watching Andor. Post breakup/early 1970s Paul McCartney is doing great!

I never got into Elevator the way I got off on some of their compatriots until recently. Rick is producing and pressing great new music and also back catalog or never before versions of older stuff. Plenty to enjoy, it’s psolid psychedelia.

New action from our faves The Minus Five. How many of these LPs do you have in your collection?

It's a beautiful day to VOTE!! Sandy Hill Community Centre's open 9am-9pm....it only took a few minutes. Great to see families and folks of all ages out voting bright and early!! #Vote #Canada #Ottawa #Community ✖

That was really fun. Music and laughs on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It was very great that you all came out. Everybody listened. Cool! I got all high and forgot to take many pictures but here’s Matt Beaudry.

Friendly reminder. Good time music and jokes today in Centretown. 4:20 start. Arrive early and get a good seat.

Going out to rock concerts leaves me asking the big questions like, “Does the bass player rivet his own trousers or do they come pre-studded?”

That’s right. That’s exactly what we need right now. We need more videos of old people doing cool disco moves on rollerskates. Please give us more of it.

It looks like one of those cool old guitars that you’d see if you ever got asked to, I dunno, help clean out your great uncle’s apartment.
