You can draw with shape tools in any layout program. Or sunlight and stencils and vegetable juice. Collage is a legitimate art form. You can paint with coffee. You can burn a stick to make charcoal. You don’t have to be “good at art” to make art. There is no gatekeeper. The process is the point.

I did my best to compile as many protest safety notes as possible into a one page foldout zine! Coincidentally…it seems the file has breached containment…like it’s available for anyone to print or hand out 👀⚖️ toonyart.com/s/PSZine.pdf

Hey TTRPG crew. If you can't afford to hire a great artist like Evlyn (she's worth it, though) and you use Affinity Publisher to lay out your games, I can teach you how to draw this little bird using nothing but shape tools. You don't need fancy equipment to make half-decent art and I'll prove it: 🧵

HELLWHALERS: The Book of Leviathan is live Based on our best selling #ttrpg of dammed sailors on the seas of hell hunting demon whales, this zine expands play with content by the original team! @mossdaggar.bsky.social @boguscheesecake.bsky.social & crew have made something amazing! ttrpg.link/bol

#lodelrol

Making a poster for your TTRPG Actual Play or cast announcment? Can I please recommend using a colour contrast checker? I see so many graphics which don't pass accessibity checks. colourcontrast.cc

New review up! A double feature this time: Wands & Laserguns, and This Frog is Ruining my Dungeon Crawl by @no-name-games.com and @shoutingcrow.bsky.social Two short and silly little solo zines that helped me enjoy RPGs even when I didn't feel up to my usual games. youtu.be/c8zIN0GGmpM

Genuinely worth checking out, folks. Very much something I’m looking for the right group to play with me.

Nobody will make you do worldbuilding faster than a new player. What books are on the shelf? Can I read them? Can I find a book about the origins of magic? Why does spell crafting work like that? How does one go about making custom spells, anyway?

The Bonsai Diary is now live on Kickstarter. Grow a tree with pen and ink and play to find out: What does it mean to leave a legacy? đź’š It's a meditative and tranquil drawing and journaling experience. Please consider backing it: www.kickstarter.com/projects/sti...

New mosses, from my father’s garden. My desk collection is slowly growing…

Yes, it's long. Yes, it's complex. Yes, it's detailed. And yes, it will make you sad unto nihilistic depression. But it's also necessary to read because AI is going to fuck the planet beyond expression. www.technologyreview.com/2025/05/20/1...

Zungeon #5! Thanks to everyone who's been loyally supporting this zine series. Five months in, no signs of slowing down! katt-kirsch.itch.io/a-simple-req...

If you see this tired old backpack at #UKGE, ask me for a free copy of my solo murder mystery investigative game Sworn by Ghostlight.

In the UK? Want a physical copy of one of my games? Compose Dream is carrying Hedge Witch, This Frog is Ruining My Dungeon Crawl, Fallow Ground, and Wands & Laserguns.

My DMs alternate wildly between people saying: “I didn’t know you were the guy who made HedgeWitch!” and “Oh my god, you’re the Print It Yourself guy!” So, uh, yeah. This is just a post to say I am both of those people, and I make other things, too: shoutingcrow.itch.io
