Everyone is interpreting this solely as “Trump/MAGA retaliation,” but I guarantee you that if she’s asked about this, she’ll make some comment about intensity of both sides.

CECOT holds 40k prisoners. Trump asks him to build FIVE MORE to house "home-growns." Trump is looking to send 200,000 American citizens to El Salvadoran gulags.

The president told a Central American dictator to build five more massive slave labor camps to hold US citizens.

On the left, me skeeting 24 days ago that Dems should adopt message framing casting Republicans as chaos agents. On the right, Politico noting that Dems are doing that. Dems, you're overpaying your consultants. It's not rocket science.

So let me get this straight. The Art of the Deal is: 1) Almost crashing the stock market 2) Raising prices on goods by at least 10% 3) Getting nothing out of it Weird book.

I get the typical Dem calculus on impeachment. can't do it in the minority, talking about it alienates the R's we can do at least some work with to chip away. But if you honestly believe the Regime is using tariffs to destroy democracy, "some R's joined us on a dead resolution," is pretty weak

During Trump I, I often said that the dumbest outcome you can think of is usually the one that will play out and I can't deny that remains a constant in Trump II. Millions of people went out of their way to make this happen. Amazing.

The lesson of the evening is clear: voters absolutely hate Elon Musk and no amount of money can convince them otherwise.

When I saw the announcement of the Booker floor stuff last night, I definitely just thought he'd stand up and talk and be done well before encroaching on any activity and the whole thing would be basically a fart in the wind. I was wrong - kudos to Cory Booker.

As Musk's popularity continues to tank, I'm endlessly fascinated by former Rep. Dean Phillips' attempts to defend the dude - Phillips truly has the political acumen of a cow pie.

“Our treasury was in the plundered! All our base are belong to them!”

The future of the Democratic party has to be a level of solidarity - not to a leader who's clearly past their prime, but to each other and their constituency despite various disagreements. We must kick moderates whose sole media strategy is self-aggrandize by shitting on every other D to the curb.

“Out in Greenland having the time of my life with a bunch of friends who are greeting America as liberators. They're all just out of frame, laughing too.”

"The United States stepped in - not to conquer, but to protect..." ...as a message to sell the Regime's interest in conquering Greenland under the false premise of protecting it.

"Denmark has not provided the resources to defend Greenland from a hostile invasion by American forces, ergo, America must invade Greenland," is basically an open threat to the world when our military spending dwarfs every other nation's combined.

If you love AOC, you'd probably end up hating her as Speaker. As a member, she represents herself/constituents. She has the independence to take the positions she takes and speak authentically without worrying how it will impact some corpo-Dem member who got an upset in a red district.

I once worked for Dems in a state legislature where they were in the Constitutional superminority. When you are out of power, often the best strategy is finding and exploiting cracks in the majority. While Rs seem to be in lock step in Congress, there are still major divisions... /1
