I occasionally speak to my phone like "hey google set a timer for 20 minutes" or whatever, a useful thing Google spent years making good enough. Then they swapped it out for "Gemini" which if I say that to it it goes "I can't do that" and gives a page of wrong instructions on how to set my own timer

Labor have this particular kind of hypocrisy where, for example, they have to believe that landlords are mostly reasonable and benevolent. Otherwise all of Labor’s policies about renting are wrong, which they can’t be, so landlords must be reasonable. So everything’s fine, actually.
