Trailer 2.

In my nabe, the cherry blossoms have mostly fallen and I wish my mom was around so we could commiserate about… everything. It’s sad that she’s better off not being here at all.

After 58 days on strike, Alamo Drafthouse workers in NYC have won big. The strike began when management suddenly fired 70 workers, and now every single laid off worker will get their job back thanks to the union power of @nycalamounited.bsky.social. Strikes work.

Above all, it’s time to stop being precious and sentimental about the old world. That America is dead. The work now is building back better. No more corporate lapdogs. No more bowing at the altar of norms and civility. Equity and justice above all. Get on board or get out of the way.

“Who is the successor to Bernie?” “When Bernie’s gone who’s next?” “Who is Bernie passing the torch to?” Gosh I don’t know. I’ll have to think about this a little more when I get back from the twentieth rally he’s done with AOC in the last month and a half

We're going to have another municipal election in NYC where the VAST majority of the voters in this city stay home. Real estate, Zionists, bankers and cops have their candidate. The rest of us should pick someone else.

I too will never vote for Cuomo as Mayor and one big reason is that the people who make the case for him are nowhere to be found when they will inevitably be called upon to fight him. He will pass the most odious policies and he ALSO treats people oppressively. He is a NO GO under any circumstances.

The gerontocracy has real consequences: The House just passed their budget resolution -- a vote that would have likely failed if every Democratic seat was filled. Remember: We've got three Dems missing -- one who's out from illness and two others from members who died in office. Not great.

I'm reminded that what got us out of the Depression was socialist policies, a 90% tax rate on the rich and killing millions of fascists.

I haven't yet heard anyone who's explored audio in as unusual a way as Ken Nordine did. No, really. I've avoided setting eyes on a picture of the guy; it'd feel wrong, for him to exist outside sound. Ken used to answer if you rang him up; my pal Mike Szabo gave it a go. Four minutes twenty-three.

Today Bill T brought over his prototype of CATACLYSM: NEW WORLD ORDER. We had run through a couple turns last month as a shake-down cruise, but now Bill was back with a better defined set of actions and actual written rules. The game begins in 1990 with a dominant US position.

Ricocheting between positive and negative desire #japanesegp

New York Dept of Education says it will not comply with the US Dept of Ed's order to certify their schools are getting rid of DEI programs. "We understand that the current administration seeks to censor anything it deems ‘diversity, equity & inclusion...

Who will be the Devil’s Follower…!??

#Babylon5 had top shelf writing. Fact.

Here is the top comment on this article: “You are advising responsible honest people who have worked hard, saved all their lives… to scale down their retirement dreams because a one person has decided to destroy the US economy. Why not write an article about how to get rid of the real problem?”

fascinating that kamala's first big public commentary on politics right now is an "i told you so" smugness while walz has been on weeks of "we fucked up and need to do better" and talking about trying to chart out some kind of actual future and bigger ambitions. quite a split

Kaiju, written in kanji (怪獣), means "strange beast". It doesn't have to be a giant monster, which is more appropriately written in Japanese as daikaiju (大怪獣), or "giant strange beast". Therefore, Cookie Monster is a kaiju. Grimace is also a kaiju. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
