After 58 days on strike, Alamo Drafthouse workers in NYC have won big. The strike began when management suddenly fired 70 workers, and now every single laid off worker will get their job back thanks to the union power of @nycalamounited.bsky.social. Strikes work.

I too will never vote for Cuomo as Mayor and one big reason is that the people who make the case for him are nowhere to be found when they will inevitably be called upon to fight him. He will pass the most odious policies and he ALSO treats people oppressively. He is a NO GO under any circumstances.

I haven't yet heard anyone who's explored audio in as unusual a way as Ken Nordine did. No, really. I've avoided setting eyes on a picture of the guy; it'd feel wrong, for him to exist outside sound. Ken used to answer if you rang him up; my pal Mike Szabo gave it a go. Four minutes twenty-three.

Kaiju, written in kanji (怪獣), means "strange beast". It doesn't have to be a giant monster, which is more appropriately written in Japanese as daikaiju (大怪獣), or "giant strange beast". Therefore, Cookie Monster is a kaiju. Grimace is also a kaiju. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
