Bluesky added a thing now where only people who follow you or you follow back can reply to you. This seems to be a good idea to keep busybodies out of my mentions. Would have used that a lot at the birdsite a ton, but whatever.

I think the biggest issue I have with social media as a whole is how much expectation there is to talk about politics and current events above all else. Not in a “no politics uwu” sense, but a near mandatory expectation to engage in that stuff. That not doing it on a website is complicity.
