Elon Musk's first ex-wife (who is a novelist) wrote this harrowing account of his insane behavior back in 2010. Sadly, way too many people ignored it. www.marieclaire.com/sex-love/a53...

Don't be modest, @nytimes.com, @theatlantic.com, @theguardian.com. Take a bow. What a beautiful atrocity you've built.

In NYT's defense that's also how they view Black employees

Exactly why I've been writing, podcasting, and damn near screaming about using the right language. The mainstream media is failing us SO badly right now. Stop. Calling. This. Shit. DEI. This is (re)segregation. This is racial purging. Cleansing Black people from positions of power.

Excellent follow on 🧵: I would add this from AUG 2023: "Last October, Colin Kahl, then the Under-Secretary of Defense for Policy at the Pentagon, sat in a hotel in Paris and prepared to make a call to avert disaster in Ukraine. 1/

A Washington Post analysis found that hundreds of the canceled contracts DOGE listed represent savings of $0 each. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...

NEW — The National Treasury Employees Union Chapter 282 just emailed its ~8,000 employee members strongly advising them NOT to reply to the “What did you do last week?” email from OPM/Musk.

I have heard from workers at multiple agencies that they have been advised by managers not to respond to Musk’s email. Some didn’t say why, others said they’re waiting on guidance from agency leadership—but we can guess what they’ll say.

Still going.

I am inundated with messages from federal workers who are feeling frantic, furious and fed up after receiving Musk’s email and reading his threatening X post. The psychological warfare is the point.

Yes. It seems like they didn’t get nearly as many people as they’d hope to accept the deferred resignation program and now they’re trying to mentally break them and get them to quit. They want agencies to fail.

War for Ukraine Day 1,094 update has posted.

I'm living in a city that was brutally bombed for years, and I mean YEARS, every day from just across the border while we were denied the ability to return fire to defend ourselves. We're still bombed, but it's not nearly as intense as when russian missile launchers and

I’d like to think I’m the first person to get into a flame war with VPOTUS from the swimming pool of Woburn Center Parcs at half-term.

The thing about swastikas spray painted on the side of a cybertruck is there’s a 50/50 chance the owner did it.

This is called theft.

Right-wing censors are now "quiet banning" books that they can't removed legally. Librarians in Chicago have been finding books dealing with race, LGBTQ+ issues or Islam hidden under shelves, in trash cans or otherwise "disappeared." www.chicagotribune.com/2025/02/22/l...

It’s not like we were short on evidence for this, but the Supreme Court’s silence in response to Trump’s announcement that he’s just going to ignore a 5-year-old ruling really shows how worthless the Court is as an institution for “doing justice” ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/trump...

Don’t post front facing pictures of yourself maskless at protests. Don’t post front facing pictures of other people maskless at protests. **Especially** ppl of color. Seeing that all over with the Tesla stuff. You eagerly wanting to be seen doing something endangers both yourself and others.

Important 🧵!!

By accepting Trump’s anti-Black premise and regurgitating the narrative that equates anything Black as DEI, the NY Times has become part of the propaganda machine

It is indefensible for legacy outlets to claim they “first reported” things independent journalists or less traditional outlets had first, which they obviously saw. It’s very common, WP does it but NYT is particularly notorious. And it’s not just tacky, it’s making an objectively false statement.

I literally reported this Wednesday.

This is very, very bad. Am working on a write-up, but let’s just say that firing military leaders for blatantly political reasons is wildly inappropriate; firing all the too lawyers is ominous; firing them all at the same time is a terrifying five-alarm fire

One aspect of doing a political purge of the military and civil service is you can't come back in afterwards and just revert to status quo ante policies. A counter-purge becomes a necessity before you can then restore usual norms and protections. The people he's installing can't be left in place.

Starlink in Ukraine operates based on paid contracts. If it’s being used as an extortion tool, then other countries should consider it a potential security risk - just like Russian gas used for blackmailing. If Ukraine is cut off, it would be wise for Europe to reconsider its use

As hurtful as it sounds, the United States is siding with Russia by demanding Ukrainian resources and threatening with action for refusal to comply. We are being robbed by the world's two largest nuclear powers. Welcome back to the 21st-century Molotov-Ribbentrop reality

The way Donald would have "prevented this war from even happening if he were President" would be to give me everything I demanded in exchange for nothing.
