If you've ever played a wrong note on the Carnegie Hall stage, you're not allowed to tell yourself to quit every single time you push a bug into production. Sorry, I don't make the rules.

🚨 Overdose deaths in the U.S. dropped nearly 30% in 2024, saving 30,000+ lives. This progress is thanks to public health efforts: wider access to naloxone, addiction treatment, and funding from opioid lawsuit settlements. Public health works. It's worth fighting for. Let's keep saving lives.

Fellow journos covering "AI": Please don't do their PR for them! "Virtual employees" is a harmful anthropomorphism in that it (a) is false; (b) confuses readers about the emerging technology and inaccurately lends human attributes like agency, accountability, etc.; and (c) harms humans in real jobs.

I sounded the alarm about Mencius Moldbug before November but too many thought stealing a name from a potential Hollow Knight character was a bigger crime than upending democracy

Egg prices in the U.S. will remain high so long as the #birdflu #H5N1 outbreak is not under control. Ignoring outbreaks does not magically make them disappear. Pass it on.

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it. Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice. But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word. They aren’t firing for a reason.
